How long is a "long" relationship?

I dont mean 4 feet or anything...
How long do you have to be with your partner before you can consider your relationship "long"? Generally I mean about relationship in the 15-25 age bracket.
Personally I'm with my girlfriend for a little less than 2 years now and I wouldn't call our relationship long.

Again, no hotdog or other lenght jokes pwuease.

Depends on who you ask.

I think it really depends what you are comparing that too. If someone has been in several relationships and they have all only lasted a few months, but he is now in a relationship and has been for two years, he might consider that a long relationship. On the other hand someone might look at that two years and say that is no time at all. I mean, "long" isn't really specific.

I dont really think u can differ it that easily. What is a long relationship? No idea. I am with my girls for 6 years now. So that is long, aint it? Compared to the rest of my life it probably isnt. So why think about it. The most important thing is, that you are happy with your girl during the time you guys are together.fonty32

I've been with my high school sweetheart for 6 years now (this December), currently on my last year of college and once I get my degree, that's when I'll get married.

I really wouldn't know, but something I have always wondered is when do you tell somebody you love them? At what point in the relationship is that appropriate? I know it's different from person to person, and you actually have to have those feelings first, but when do you just bring it up without having to worry about the matzoh ball? Just wondering.
