If you already have kids, vote for the number you have or if you plan on having more vote for that number.
For me it's either one or none. Haven't made up my mind completely as you never know the future but right now I'm leaning towards none.

definitely more than one. being an only child in roughweezyfb"A 1987 quantitative review of 141 studies on 16 different personality traits contradicted Adler's theory by finding no evidence of any maladjustment in only children. The most important finding was that only children are not very different from children with siblings. The main exception to this was the finding that only children are higher in achievement motivation.[2] A second analysis revealed that only children, first-borns, and children with only one sibling score higher on tests of verbal ability than later-borns and children with multiple siblings.[3] The advantage of only children in test scores and achievement motivation may be due to the greater amount of parental attention they receive. According to the Resource Dilution Model, parental resources (e.g. time to read to the child) are important in development. Because these resources are finite, children with many siblings receive fewer resources.[4] In his book, Maybe One, Bill McKibben argues in favor of a one child policy based on this research. He argues that most cultural stereotypes are false, that there are not many differences between only children and other children, and where there are differences, they are favorable to the only child. Aside from scoring significantly better in achievement motivation, only children score significantly better in personal adjustment to new situations. Only children are also more likely to make outside friends, whereas children with siblings tend to be "more parochial and limited in their understanding of a variety of social roles."[5]" I don't see anything wrong with having one child.
my gf wants 20 0.o
Hey, at least you'll be able to get a reality show out of that. Lol I'm glad we're both thinking the same XDYa man we need a new one. John & Kate Plus 8 is broken and old...Um I was fine with 2 or 3, but it seems my girlfriend is leaning towards 4, and seeing as the wife is a tyrant in disguise :P it'll be four
But your my hero for saying over 9000, good to know people still say that!
After growing up as an only child, I think I'd want to have 2 kids. It would have been nice to have a sibling growing up, even if we fought all the time.
If you have one you have to give them a sibling. So I'd say two, perhaps three. I don't know. I'm only 21 so kids aren't something I should be worrying about yet anyway, let alone applying reason to how many I want/should have.
Not having kids...thank God -I mean your kids are cool...so long as they are not my kids ;)rawsavonWhy don't you want kids?
I'd love to have them one day and if I get to the end of my life without any I'd feel so unfulfilled. :(
