I've never tried these before today, but seeing as how I can pump out quite a few regular pushups, I figured these wouldn't be too hard. I only managed 14 :| So Here I am to ask you, OT, out of curiosity how many diamond pushups you can perform. Lets have a competition. ;)

They're where you put your hands together, forming a "diamond" like pose, They are much harder. I can only manage about 7.

30. i used to do them extensively but dropped them because they really didn't benefit me as much as doing free weights does.

keep your fingers together and make an "L" with your indexfinger and thumb, do this with but with both hands together with your thumbs and index finger not palms, now try doing a push up.

I just did 20 fairly easy, I sure I could do a lot more but I did chest/tris yesterday so Im still sore.

this form of push up is at the intermediate level. it does help fortify your triceps and inner chest, but you'll get quicker results using free weights, OR a machine. if you don't have access to neither, then diamond push ups are a great resistance work out. try doing 3 sets of 30 reps, with only 30 seconds rest in between. you will build notable muscle within 2 or 3 weeks.

Just was able to do 50 of them, probably could have pushed to 65.. Though I am not surprised I could do that many, I have usually do quite a few push ups where my feet are a foot or more above the ground where my hands is to increase resistance.

I did 25 and stopped cause I don't have an AC and its like 90 degrees in my house right now so I'll give it a try when the sun sets and the temp is more reasonable. Cause if there is one thing I hate is sweating while watching TV.

I managed about 20 non-stop.I was able to get down to the ground on them, but they take more energy than regular pushups.

Wow, I haven't done those in a long time. First did those in military basic training, used to be able to do 40. Ever since I was medically discharged though, I can't exercise the like I use to. I can't even play 99% of sports now. :(

I could've swore that doing sity up on your palms is very dangerous. I use either knuckles or my push up bars. If I wanted to do diamonds I'm sure I could do quite a few, but my wrist becomes really sore.

just did 40...could have done more like 15 more if I REALLY wanted to...but it's early and I don't want to strain my triceps by doing a bunch of diamonds without stretching before hand...
