How many lefties do we have here?

Left handed people make up anywhere from 7-10 percent of the adult population in the United states. So we are the mintority. A minitory which is virtually ignored in videogaming. I pretty much game right handed because of all the control configs that cater to the right handed. I used to also use my mouse right handed but recently I've been switching over to my left.

No. I had a nice right hand baseball glove when younger, so I got used to pitching with left.

I do everything but open combination locks with my right hand. I can only seem to use my left hand for that... :?Dark__Link

To be honest, I dont play football/soccer much, so I really haven't noticed :P I'll say, I suck kicking with both.

i am dominantly lefty, but as a good percentage of us are, i have some ambidexterity as well. i golf lefty but play hockey righty, which makes no sense to me. i write left handed but my left hand is the dominant puncher.

as far as gaming, ive gotten used to the righty setups.

I am the youngest of 3 brothers, all left handed. All of us write with our left hands but mouse with the right. I remember when my oldest brother was in elementary school his teacher tried to force him to write with his right hand. When my mother heard this was going on she tore into the teacher.

The only time being a lefty has been an issue was when I worked as a carpenter in a former career. Powertools are designed for right-handed people. Saws can take a bit of getting used to because the motor housings are on the wrong side for us and can block our view of the blade. After 7 years of the occassional near miss, I figured it's only a matter of time before I lose a finger or two. Now I'm in a much safer career (software).
