I just started so at the moment I only go up to 3, but I'd like to increase it to 6 miles eventually.

I don't believe in running unless you're being chased by a wild animal, a lynch mob or something else with with hostile intentions, like a Pack of angry midgets or something.

I can run a mile without walking or stopping. Shooting for 1.5 miles under 10 minutes and continue to add .5 miles as I get better.
between 1-3. There is little reason to ever run more than 3 miles in a day. Occasionally I'll do 4-5 to really push myself but that's only like once every few months.
Any kind of wild animal that wants to chase you down will do so in a minute or less. So being able to run for hours, isn't important.
If I ran every single day my knees would give out after a week, not to mention I would have no time for life.
For awhile I was running 3-4 miles 2-3 times a week, but I've been busy and sick lately so I haven't run in about a week. I was hoping to go yesterday but this cold refuses to go away. Today I hope I can get in a 5k before I go home, but now this cold has decided to completely clog up my chest.
This has to be one of the longest lasting colds I've ever had.
