How many people have had stitches?

First time I ever had stitches was this past summer from broken glass. I was never so freaked out in my life. It wasn't that bad, but I didn't know what to expect.

What was your first experience with stitches, if you have had any

I got them when I was about 2 years old, but I had to be told about it...the first time I remember was last year after I got stabbed in the leg. Pretty brutal experience all around.

I think most people have had stitches. I've had them at least 3 or 4 times. The worst place? Under my thumbnail.danmam2

Yeah...lost a lot of feeling down the side of the leg for months. Only recently did my nerves start functioning properly again. Not fun.

I've never had stitches before... Maybe because I don't do anything active anymore.

I got 8 stitches when I was 5 years old.

The stitches were between my right eye and my temple (may be mispelled).

Believe it or not, I was singing behind a 3' tall 'shop fan' because it made my voice sound funny (we've all sung behind a fan).

Well, I fell into the fan.

Result=lotsa blood, screaming boy, mass hysteria/confusion, 8 stitches

no offense but thats kinda disturbing

Me... twice.

Once when I was really young (don't remember it), I fell onto those wood fences to block animals/children from going into certain rooms - from a table. Another when I bashed my head into the corner of a wall when I was around 5 - I still have a little tiny bald spot in my hair >>

I had stitches in my mouth when I had my wisdom teeth removed.

They stitched part of my gums to my cheek. Hurt so bad getting them out.

Medical, yes.

I had 2 teeth removed and gum expossed a few years ago (the resultion of my username)

When I was 3 my thumb was caught in a door. It not only had to be stitched, but completely reconstructed.
