I ask because apparently 2 or 3 is too much. I have many friends who tell me they only eat 1 full plate for dinner and that's how they've done it their whole lives?
What about OT? Lets say your eating rice or pasta.

I'd like to eat at least 2. But I try not to.themajormayoreating 2-3 plates for dinner has always been natural for me. But then again I almost always skip lunch, especially now since I dont bother in university or when at home.
I don't eat any plates for dinner. I hate eating a heavy meal late in the day so I usually just have an ensure with some fruit of a snack. My heaviest meal is usually my first meal and even then I only have 1 or 1 and a half plates.Diablo-BFruit is packed with carbs and sugar which can pack on weight at night. I'd recommend a salad or some veggies with a little protein like fish or chicken.
I don't think I eat a plateful of food for dinner. Of course, our dinner plates are quite big. Now, if it's like a little paper plate, I'd say, one plate.
It was different when I was in HS though. I can eat 2-3 (dinner plate) platefuls per meal and not gain any weight because of all my daily and weekly activities: varsity soccer plus cycling, swimming, and basketball.
fixed the op for all you smart asses....BossPerson
I thought about giving a smart ass response. Buuuut.....nah.
Just one... like 95% of people out there.
Cyberdot
I think that percentage (at least in the US) might be quite a bit lower considering the obesity rate in the US.
I try to eat one for dinner. It really depends on what I'm having for dinner, though. Some foods are a lot more filling and fattening than others. It also depends on the time of the year; I have a greater appetite in the winter than in the summer.
Completely depends what it is. And I dont just fill a plate eat it, fill a plate, eat it. Some stuff doesn't even reach my plate :P. Anywhere from 1 - 3 I would say. Probably at least 2 on average. Man I am starving right now. see ya :P.
PS - pasta is heavy so that can be something that I eat less of, but it still depends. I love pasta though!
OMG some of yall must be whale's lol I'm currently "cutting" for summer so 1 cup of pasta or rice,4 cups of broccoli and some protein...you guys should count calories/serving sizes. ONE cup of rice is 200 calories O.o crazy huh?

That's not really a good metric because a myriad of different factors boil down to plate sizes varying pretty substantially. Usually, I eat one plate, but it's a pretty solid plate. Occasionally a second serving of something on a second plate.

This.
The amount/kind of plates you use is logistics, not a method of quantification.
Depends on what you're eating, and how, the amount of plates used in a single meal can vary substantially.
