Zero, but I want to see it to see what all the hype is about, I'm going in with low expectations and I bet they won't even be met.
the humans go to invade the blue peoples land and take it over, and then after 2 hours of battle, seeing life and hardships from both sides, the blue finally win, and show humanity mercy, and say they just want their land and to be friends, and everything ends in lovey dovey peace?
If I'm right, I won't be if I'm wrong, then I will be excited about it.
btw is this movie gonna come out on dvd later, I heard its only in theatres??evanawda2005Do you know the concept of cash-cow? That's Avatar. It will be on DVD, then around a year later a directors cut or extended edition dvd will be released, then an anniversary dvd...It will be milked.
I don't get it. It is a good movie, but, not revolutionary anyway. magicalclickI think the revolutionary aspect of the movie was how it was made.

You touched on a few things you chould have easily read online, but thats not really what the movie is about. This movie is more of an experience than just a story. You have to see it to believe it.
Only going to watch it once (I watched it in 3D). I'm not gonna watch it again becausethe 3Dgave me a fat headache
Never seen it, have no desire to ever see it. It has absolutely zero appeal to me in any fashion whatsoever.thunderf00t
That's kinda me, but I thought it might be interesting to give it a chance and see if it can impress me in some fashion as I've had movies do so in the past. But then part of me is kind of tired of reading about it and I can't imagine that my review would be of any particular interest under the mountain of reviews that are floating out there.
I doubt it. Tell me if I have the story right (in the spoilers)
But did I get the beginning and the end right? Also, I have not read a single thread on this site, or any articles anywhere about Avatar, I have, however, read many, many books, it takes a lot to fool me.

lol your wrong, you should go see the movie :DEven if you guys are not interested in the story, you should still go see it just for the visuals and all the 3D effects, its still cool, but trust me guys this movie is really good,I mean the critics never give good scores to movies unless they are REAL good like the Dark Knight...there is just something special about this movie idk,it just has it all,story,visuals,everything...even though its 2 hrs and half you just dont want it to end, anyways its still your decision but you'll miss out on an epic movie like this one.
lol your wrong, you should go see the movie :DmagicalclickYeah, totally off the chart. Actually the movie is so predictable, I am not sure how he got it wrong, haha. The trailer gives it all away anyway. Oh god, don't tell me it's
got the same damn ending as planet of the apes or sixth sense where it's like earth all along or in the characters dream or some damn thing
that would, be even worse than what I thought. If it's not, then I will be blown away.
I dont understand why some people say its a bad movie, and dont wanna watch it,I mean why judge it if you havnt seen it??I'm sure everybody has $10 to watch it.

No, actually, you are way off.
No, I'm not going to the movie theater to watch some cliche CG fest.
Yandere
You haven't seen it. How would you know?

Ok, but I will watch it, and now I have expectations...But if I was right and you were lying to me, grrr :P :P@Bluestorm-Kalas
no ur off, just go watch the movie trust me you won't regret it,here is the trailer to help you on the story.
Actually have almost no desire to see it at all.
Even though Aliens and The Terminator are two of my favourite movies of all time, I'm not a fan of James Cameron and haven't enjoyed on of his movies in more than 23 years. I don't like most James Cameron movies, and all the reviews I've seen are basically saying that Avatar is a standard James Cameron movie.
Furthermore, I found The Abyss and Terminator 2 too pretentious and preachy. So...given what I've heard about Avatar, I'd probably hate the hell out of it.
Bottom line is that it's not getting my money. At best, it'll be a later rental. But I ain't buying it, and I ain't paying money to see it at the cinema.
wait isnt renting a movie like $7,why dont you just watch it in 3D in theatres now and get the most of it on a big screen.Actually have almost no desire to see it at all.

....A little human on human betrayal I guess...I was in the near viscinity...Not bad for not watching a trailer or reading about it, only seeing the TV ad, which just showed, little blue dudes and military ships.@Bluestorm-Kalas

Actually I was pretty damned close...The only difference is a human helps those avatar or whatever them blue dudes are called, and they are probably beaten by hostile forces, not made peace with, and that guy in the wheelchair falling in love with that girl, it shows that the tribe are good people and their hardships...Comon, you could have at least said I was close so I didn't jump to another cliche ending.

Because **** that, that's why.
And renting a movie is more like $4. And then, I can pause the movie to take a leak, I can smoke while watching the movie, and I don't get charged $8 to eat a bag of popcorn while watching the movie. Furthermore, I don't have to put up with people hooting and hollering at the screen, or kicking the back of my seat.
0. No plan to see it. The story sounds cliche, the visuals arn't all that appealing to me, and 3D....Well I dislike 3D. I feel it's a gimmick movies use to draw attention away from a bad storyline.
Only saw it once, but had to sit in some pretty bad seats. Might go again and make sure to get better seats next time.
