I have two; and it seems like it's coming in, since my gum is inflated and aches really bad. :x

All four of mine are pushing out; they still have a ways to go before they finish growing.

Got 2 or 4 taken out 2 years ago. I can't even remember because it was like nothing. Really easy stuff and not painful.

Got mine removed earlier this year; three removed, two impacted. The first night is the worst. You have to bite down on gauze pads until the bleeding subsides, which for me, took all night. The next day wasn't nearly as bad, but I still only ate soup. The diet is what I found to be the worst part. All I wanted to do was have a slice of pizza or eat a hamburger, but I was stuck with cheap, salty soup.

I dunno about you but I don't remember being in pain. The worst part is just that gauze you gotta stuff in your mouth. It's cumbersome and gross.

The last thing I want to associate myself with is gauze pads. I went through 40 or so after I severed my fingertip. :x

I don't even think that's the worst part. The worst is using that little plastic syringe type thing to shoot the special mouthwash into the open sockets, to prevent them from getting infected before they heal up.

I got all four of mine removed surgically last year. I hadn't had any trouble with them before, but then I started getting a real bad ache in my jaw. After like 3 days of that I went to a dentist to check it out, and he said one of my wisdom teeth was already severely infected, and the others were getting there, and he told me to call a surgeon immediately and schedule an "emergency" appointment. He said without telling the surgeon it was an emergency I'd get put on a waiting list and it might take a few weeks, and that if I didn't get them removed within the next few days the infection would spread and fvck up my mouth for life. Less than 24 hours later I was getting dosed with knockout gas (which is amaaaaaaazing).

I had all 4 of mine taken out last Winter. I was put under anasthesia while it happen so I didn't feel much pain at all. The biggest annoyance was food would always get caught in the holes in my gums up until 2 months after the operation.

I had two taken out and there was very little to no pain. Minus the fact that they gave me too much sleepy time medicine and i got sick, i was eating fast food the same day.

I had 4, all of them were removed. The bottom two hurt like hell to get out. Took a good 30 minutes just for one side.

I had all four of mine removed when I was 15. It hurts when they are coming in sideways and I was lucky only was sideways. It's best to have them all removed at once otherwise one by one will make you scream every time. My opinion though.

Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at once when I was 16. Was painful for a couple days after having them removed, with not being able to eat or drink much and my mouth was really dry.

Had mine removed last February. Was easy. Ached a bit for a bit a few days after, but overall not too bad. I was asleep when they were taken out though.

I had all four taken out at the hospital. And apparently I have even more teeth hidden up in my jaw somewhere... They may not even come through though.

And I can't say it really hurt that much for me (after having them out). I just popped in some nurofen every now and then and primarily lived off custard and pumpkin soup for about a week.

All four.

Bottom two were a damn pain coming through, would flare up from time to time

Top two, I didn't even notice them until I went to the dentist a few months ago.

I had all 4 removed at once. I was put under, so no pain, just wobbly when I got up. As other people have said, thankfully no dry socket. and thankfully........"pain" medication to remove pain afterwards

I have two left. Had to remove the two lower ones.

And yes, it is very painful to have them removed. Even breathing will be painful for the first two days, forget talking or chewing. You won't be able to eat anything solid for about a week.

I had four and got all of them removed at the same day, the dentist injected some kind of pain killer in my mouth, because I opted out of narcosis (I didn't want to pay for it), so I could feel him dig around and pull them out. It wasn't that painful (I did feel pain from time to time), but it was a very uncomfortable feeling. They were quite big too after I saw them.

I had all four taken out. The pain wasn't that bad. The only gross thing was I was spitting up blood on the way to the car for my mom to drive me home. Anyway my doctor prescribed me a sh*tload of painkillers, I went to sleep for a good 8 hours, woke up and the pain was very mild and was gone pretty quickly.

I had 4 removed and yes, it hurt like hell. The dentist had to break them up into pieces and then extract them bit by bit. There's not enough Novocaine in the world to make that painless :P

It was one of the most unpleasent things I've ever experienced. All four removed whilst awake. Don't ask me why I wasn't put out because I don't know and I think I'm gonna bring that up next time I see one of my parents. I was too young to know better and object to being awake.

I had 4 and had them all removed at once about a year ago. I had an alergic reaction to the anesthetic they put me on so I was vomiting and bleeding heavily for quite a while afterwords. My face was painfully swollen for about a week. Aside from that though it wasn't so bad:P

Well I'm addicted to Codeine so for all I know mine are all leaking gunge into my bloodstream slowly killing me. I'm joking I still have mine and they never caused me any problems, a few christmas's ago though I was eating painkillers like candy to quell the pain of the big chunky b******s tearing my jaw apart but after that never had an issue.

Mine haven't erupted yet.

The actual procedure of getting them extracted shouldn't hurt since they use anesthetic, it's the aftercare that leaves the mouth sore and on a restricted diet.

Four. It didn't really hurt to get them pulled because you're under gas the whole time, but it gets really sore afterwards. Not really pain, just soreness, and they give you stuff to take for a couple of days until it goes away.
