I don't remember what it was except for that it was a Packard Bell. I remember that it was a big deal when we finally installed a mouse on it! Man, I don't miss DOS...

I had one with a P75 in it as well. Not my first comp, but I had one. I remember playing Dark Forces on that. Think my first was an Apple II.

My dad had computers in the '80s, but the first computer my family owned was an old Packard Bell with Windows 2.0 on it. I had some great times on that computer, especially when we upgraded to Windows 3.11. That was exciting! I got my very own computer when I was 8 years old. It was an IBM with a really small hard drive (somewhere between 3-8 gigs). I think it ran Windows 98. I loved that thing.

We got ours in 2000. Was medium tier. 350Mhz Pentium 2 with 16mb 'Voodoo' 3DFX card, Oh, and a whopping 7 gig HDD :D Played Unreal1/Tournament and Quake 3 Arena on that a lot. I was a PC gamer for about a year :P

A 33MHz 386. I think it had 4mb ram and was never used for anything but playing Sam and Max Hit the Road and a couple of other adventure games.

386sx 16Mhz with 2Mb RAM and 40Mb disk. Cost papa GBP1400 in 1993!

It had both 3.5 and 5.25 inch drives and came with DOS 4.01.

Someone gave me a maths co-processor for it, so I guess it ended up as a dx in the end.

I don't quite remember. I was 3 and it was a Packard Bell that only ran DOS. I remember feeling so badass playing Doom and warcraft. Good times, good times indeed.

Our first PC was built by my uncle from parts he no longer needed. It was an AMD 66MHz 486-DX2, with 16MB of RAM, and a 2MB VESA video card.

This was in 1997 though, when Pentiums had already been around for some time, and "3D accelerator" cards (ahh those were the days) were coming out. So it was already outdated when I got it.

HP from like 96  had windows 95. The one I remember more was the Compaq we got a few years later which had 32MB of RAM and a 16MB intergrated GPU I believe.

I dont know the details... all I know is that it had Windows 95 and I had dial-up. I vaguely remember a computer that had to be booted up through a floppy or something - and I know my dad had a pretty nice laptop.
