How much area the entire world population would take up if standing side by side

Pretty crazy how little of us there really are on this planet. Would take 3 hrs to drive around or approx 24 hours to run around it (if running at approx 15km/hr)

Yes, new about this ratio for awhile.

Even with fears of over crowding we don't take up much space especially as urbanization increases.

As I recall estimates show we could still comfortably support double te world's current population before sever strains on resources start to amass.

If everyone took up 1 square meter like in this estimate, and you put them side by side in a single row, 7 billion people would span 7 billion meters, or 7 million kilometers, and the Earth's equator is 40,000 kilometers, meaning everyone standing side by side would be enough to span the earth 175 times over, or go to the moon and back 9 times over.
