I am so thinking about trading in my Rav-4 before I pay it off to get a Prius.
48 Miles per Gallon sounds REAL GOOD right now.

40 mpg, no lie. Regular gas. I paid about 50 bucks a MONTH to drive anywhere I wanted.
A/C SUCKED, and it couldn't go very fast, though
This blows - I was planning on a road trip to Quebec this summer (from New Jersey) but there's just no freaking way.
Last time I went to Quebec (1996), gas was around 95 CENTS a gallon!
WTF?!?!?!!

I love Quebec. I would still recommend returning there. Maybe you could take the train (NYC to Montreal)?

My wife and I went to Quebec City for our Honeymoon and we stayed at the Chateau Frontenac. It was awesome! They're doing some anniverary celebration there this year, so everything is supposed to be all partys and stuff - but everything is so much more expensive now - and USA to CAN $$$ exchange rate is even now too... so we can't even save money on the exchange rate.
Makes me so mad!

I sympathize with you. Quebec City is a beautiful city. One of the best times of my life was when my brother and I went there several years ago (when the exchange rate was heavily in favor of US $).
Quebec is awesome.
I learned to dip French Fries into Mayonaise instead of Ketchup in Canada!
Also - we went there during the Stanley Cup finals and this one sports bar on the main strip in Quebec City was full of crazy Hockey fans - there were guys in there with sticks and pads on - they were just sitting at the bar drinking! I hope they just got there from playing a game or something. Maybe that's how they roll there? LOL
That was pretty hardcore lol
And there was this long boardwalk with a huge elevator car that went up and down a hill and up top there was this guy with 2 dogs and the dogs were doing wacky tricks.
There was another dude in the lower city section who was playing a flute with his nose - panhandling. I tossed him some change.
That place was wacky. I miss it. :(
Quit complaining. We pay $1.30 a L here. Last time I checked a gallon is equal to 4L. We're paying $5.20 a gallon.I paid $61 to fill up my Toyota Rav-4 from Empty to Full.

The reason even slight increases in oil prices are hurting the United States is because we drive per capita more than any other nation on earth. I don't live in the US, which is way I said I pay per L. Also our dollar is worth more than yours at the moment so in retrospect we're paying a lot more per gallon in comparison than you are.Quebec is awesome.

68.80 for my CTS-V,
But all and all and can't complain, at least the Caddies don't require gold or "premium" gas like my last car did so as long as gas stays under 1.41 a litre I am all good, or at least better off then I was.

Ya but to bad Canada as 33 million residents and America has 300 million residents so we have 270million more people traveling an average of 38 minutes each way. Same goes for most of the other countries that have low population by long commuting times. And dont forget about Airline industry has to pay for gas too which is why some of them are going bankrupt.
