Wow, you guys got it real cheap. I gotta fork out $11.25 here in NYC. I go to Battery Park theater in general. There are cheaper places, but those places are disgusting. Thus, I rarely watch movies.

The theater I go to in St. Louis is I believe $9.00 for an evening ticket, but if I show them my student ID I think it only costs $7.00.

With the current exchange rate, 16 dollars (95 Swedish kronor). It's about the price of 1.5 Big Mac Menus over here if that helps.

$10.50, $9.50 for student.

Luckily, I work at AMC theaters so I watch everything I want for free :)

Each auditorium has a snazzy IMAX screen though so it's worth it. One of the posters above said that he sneaks food in. Just to let you know, your allowed to take food in, well as long as it's an AMC.

I go to this underground cinema which ends up being $3.00.

"Mainstream" theaters, however, cost me around $5.00.

Nah, just $13... And things would balance out with higher wages and such, I think.

Northern California:

$10 for Regal Cinemas

$9.75 for Cinemark

It's funny because while Cinemark is cheaper, iot's way better than Regal. The food is insanely expensive though. I just go and eat after the movie. One time I tried taking in a bottled soda into Regal Cinemas and they wouldn't allow it.

It really depends on where I go. If I choose to go to the closer, smaller theatre, tickets only cost me about $6.50. It's a pretty good deal I suppose, compared to the big Cineplex cinemas charging over ten dollars. It is somewhat worth it though, it has better air conditioning, high-rise aisles and a gigantic screen. This is from Hamilton, Ontario.

I'm from Liverpool in the UK, where a ticket for at an odeon cinema (a big chain all over europe) is 5, or you can go to Fact in the city centre where tickets are 4.50. It's an artsy film joint where they show fancy indie films, but sell out and show mainstream movies because not enough people go to see the pretentious crap to keep it in business. :P

$7/$9.25 at Regal or $5/$6.50 at my smaller local theater. It's always a toss-up.
