Most, if not all, mods are volunteers. They do it for free because they like the way Gamespot is, and want to keep the integrity of the site working.

Well, it's a private establishment, so if you don't want to follow the rules, find someplace else to hang out.

You wouldn't go to a club, or a restaurant and say "Hey, I don't have time to read all your signs, just do what I want for free!"
