I enjoy smoking I don't want to live to be 80 anyway. Just because you dont smoke don't mean you can't get cancer. My granfather exersised every day watched everything he ate and he still got cancer. My grandmother don't smoke and we had to put her in a nursing home. She lost her marbles. No one gets out alive I'm not here for a long time I'm here for a good time. I spend about $50 a month on smokes.
I haven't smoked in years, and when I did the prices were much different. I averaged 2 packs a week.
While all too true, that doesn't mean you should go out of your way to push your luck with something that likely will give it to you. I think he's trying to say he's not an idiot.. jk jk[QUOTE="jdc6305"]

Please don't overextend on the drinking, pirate. Am happy to hear that you don't so fardave123321Are you his mom?
alcohol aka beer. The difference is moderate drinking isn't bad for you and actually has health benefits. Smoking has none and is always bad for you. not necessarily. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/16/health/16alco.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 oh, one more thing, most of the health benefits if not all come from the various ingredients inside of beer and not the actual alcohol itslelf, it's why you don't see doctors telling you that you should take two shots a day. so, if you only cared about the health benefits and not the actual alcohol/drug itself, then you would just buy the alcohol-free beers, but you don't so please spare me the bs.[QUOTE="Rich3232"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]Huh?

Yeah, pirate, stop being so damn judgmentalHey, people can smoke all they want. I'm not one of those people who thinks it should be illegal or vilifies them. I just don't see the point of smoking cigarettes. It doesn't relax you outside of cooling off your bodies need for a nicotine fix, or give you a high or anything. The only thing they give is cancer and a much lighter wallet. So I'm sorry, being a smoker (cigarette, not the occasional cigar or the like), just seems beyond silly to me.Who cares...everyone has their vices.

I don't smoke, but the average 25-pack where I live costs about $12. In the past decade, the Canadian government has tried to use heavy taxation as a means of dissuading people from smoking. Doesn't seem like it really works. There are as many young people smoking now as when I was a young people (adolescent).Zeviander
And that's the point. Despite what they claim, they're counting on people to not quit when they raise taxes on cigarettes. They don't actually want people to quit because they'd lose a solid source of tax revenue then.

Don't smoke... nasty habit. Â I do enjoy cigars and a pipe every now and again though.

You think that's really any different?
Yes, because I don't smoke them like an addict. I have one for a special occasion and that's it. Not even once a month usually.Would you rather the thread just go straight to the second page? Not everyone has to participate(or be able to participate) in every thread. I don't mind much, but cheese certainly has a point. Which was what I was getting at with my first post about you not being asked the question. And by be able I don't mean be allowed. Simply that certain threads will require users to have certain prerequisites to be able to actually contribute in a meaningful way. In this case, that you actually smoke. Anti smoking stuff is not really on topic. Granted, none of my posts itt are of any interest to the actual topic the thread is about, but I accept that.[QUOTE="cheese_game619"]>a question for smokers >most responses are about how they dont smoke >gsot community in a nutshellPirate700

Many of them do. Though I know a lot of people that smoke them only when they are drinking. Cigarettes are very addictive because of all the nicotine. And many people who smoke cigars and pipes do so habitually as well. And nicotine is found in all tobacco, including the tobacco in your cigars and pipe.
