I'm fascinated and somewhat disgusted by the amount of money people are spending on clothes. Within the course of a year, how much do you think you spend on clothes?
I spend maybe $100-200 a year on clothes.

Not to much a few hundred maybe. I try and get decent quality stuff in at discount stores like this maxx or clearence. I did splurge and buy a pair of jeans from gustin that were 80 bucks. They are raw denim and still stuff as a board lol
Depends...I lost a lot of weight 3 years ago so I had to re-buy my entire wardrobe. Since then not much, although I did buy a new pair of good basketball shoes (they're always expensive) and some nice winter shoes.
i suppose like 500$ per year if you average out the past 10 years worth of clothes shopping
some years (most) i only buy socks and a few other items, other years, i spend thousands in shopping sprees
shopping sprees are fun, but not exactly a necessity in life... I can't physically wear my clothes down fast enough to warrant making it an annual habit
I don't know how some people can go on shopping sprees every month or every other month, but i assume they must lead very, very physically demanding lives or have lost their marbles to materialism and/or low self worth
@BiancaDK: I think most people with low self worth don't spend much in clothes...they don't deem themselves worth spending so much money on.
I just spent $2,000 on my second full bespoke suit and it was worth every penny. Other than that, I've spent probably at least a thousand on dress shirts, shoes, accessories, and casual clothes so far this year and I'll probably spend more than that at the end of 2015.
That's the problem with most men these days, especially American men: they're fat slobs and bad dressers. There is nothing wrong with looking good and spending money on your wardrobe as you can afford it.
Most of the men here wouldn't accept fat slobby women, why is it that they think they can be fat slobs and get away with it?

First, men can be thin and not want dozens of pairs of clothes. It's not strictly a fat issue.
You spent 2 grand on your second suit, what was wrong with the first suit? You realize u can only wear one suit at a time right?
@richietickles: Why did I spend two grand on a second bespoke suit (my fifth suit in the wardrobe)? Because I can afford it.

Wasteful hipster.
You do realize there are people that don't even have more than one pair of clothes in the world do you?
Between $200 and $300. I'm a jeans a t shirt guy so my clothes usually don't cost much to begin with. I don't need to or want to impress with how I dress so I save my money for other things. I don't have a problem with others spending a lot on clothes if that's what floats their boat and they have the money.
I spent maybe 250 dollars in the past 12 months. Most of it went toward Reebok Nano 4s and steel toed boots.
I don't really go anywhere that justifies nice clothes and rural Canadians dress like garbage anyway so whatever.
Probably about $100.00 I buy a lot of my clothes at thrift stores. Sometimes, I find some expensive name brand items for like a couple dollars.
@richietickles: Uhhh... what are you trying to say?
Just because you are a fat slob who does not know how to dress himself or present a professional image does not mean we all should be like you.
I have a decent career and I make pretty good money. Maybe looking like a grown up and professional has something to do with that?

Yeah, you can make "good money" boy, but how much money have you spent in clothes in your adult life? That money could have been given back to the community to help people who could use it for clothes they can't afford. How much space do those clothes take up where you store them boy? People like you out there who have a nigh religion around fashion are amongst the shallowest of people and it shows because all you can say is everyone not dressed like you is a "fat slob."
Boy, you live a sad life dependent upon what you look like because you have no soul. Aidos, pendejo.
more than I want to cuz clothes for men are stupidly expensive for no reason.
a girl can buy like 5-6 things with $42, but I can only buy one regular basic jean for that much.
The other day I spent $50 on just two shirts at Target. I wanted to kill myself.
I dont buy brands or even care about brands, just what ever looks decently good and is of general use.
