How much do you tip your barber/haircutter person?

I tip $5.. it costs me $17 ..

Five seems generous enough... but 2 would cut it.

The cut is $10.

I tip $5.

Been going there for such a long time, I don't mind giving it to them.

I tip a dollar for a $10 haircut from my regular barber. I've never seen anybody else tip my barber though.

I once went to one place and the girl actually had the nerve to ask for a tip.

Is the US the only place where tips are manditory???

Tips aren't mandatory. It's just common, cultural courtesy.
