How much fun do you think OT would be without moderation?

This debate gets brought up quite a bit throughout this forum, so I figured I'd ask the masses- How would you feel about having OT open to all types of discussion, language, ect?

I don't really care, but then, making fun of extremists of any kind would be hilarious and amusing.

I'll just say that's a very bad idea. It would be like playing an online match of halo with a lot of immature teens saying racist and sexist thing that would get annoying fast.....

I think it would largely be a great idea, but I think there would still need to be some sort of moderation system to get rid of the people just trying to start fights and cause trouble or racist/sexist/homophobic/hate-speech comments, because those just aren't cool under any situation. It would be nice to be able to just say what's on your mind, though (assuming it's not incredibly offensive and falls into the category mentioned above) or be able to make funny, but slightly inappropriate jokes like Michael Scott always makes on The Office (hopefully you get the reference, I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to say that here, which is why I like your idea for the most part).

In addition to the mocking of people who take things too seriously, you can say some of the most witty responses ever without including a swear word.
