It should say how much its for on the ticket. If it doesn't say it directly on the ticket, there should be another slip that the cop gave you that lists the fee for each violation. You're supposed to know before you go into court. I'd guess between 100 and 200 bucks, though.Mumbles527
No, it doesn't say anywhere on the ticket. My dad didn't believe me so I gave him the ticket and he couldn't find it anywhere. He gets about 3 tickets a year, so he should know. What does this mean if there is no amount on the ticket? No other forms were given to me other than a pink citation.
I have $260 in the bank so hopefully it's less than that.MotherSuperiorIt will be. 22 over the limit ain't bad at all.

Besides it's my first ticket in my life, do you think the judge will reduce the charges? Also, how long does the whole process take once I get to the courthouse? and what does it mean if there is no amount on the ticket?
Last August I got a ticket for 55 in a 40 and it was $160. I am 17 and live in MN btw.Goldeneyemaster
Did you have to go before a judge? If so, What did you say and how long did it take from when you entered the courthouse to when you left?

Tickets are always almost reduced if you pleed not guilty from what I hear. I dunno about court for tickets though. Only times I've been in court were for more serious charges, and that took a while.[QUOTE="MotherSuperior"]It will be. 22 over the limit ain't bad at all.[QUOTE="Mumbles527"][QUOTE="MotherSuperior"]I have $260 in the bank so hopefully it's less than that.Mumbles527

I just want to get this ticket paid and over with, and I really have no evidence saying otherwise. I AM guilty of going 77 in 55.

Evidence doesn't matter. Its just a traffic ticket. You might end up with another court date, but the charge will be reduced. Because if it isn't reduced, they have to assign a DA to your case to try you, and that will cost them more than the $250 that they'll get out of beating you.[QUOTE="Goldeneyemaster"]Last August I got a ticket for 55 in a 40 and it was $160. The cop gave me another sheet that had the fines on it, so I knew how much I had to pay. I just signed the back of the ticket (plead guilty) and mailed in the money. I didn't even have to go to the courthouse. I would have if I wouldn't have pleaded guilty but honestly I was going 15 miles over the speed limit really no excuse so I didn't see the point.

I really don't want to make another trip to the courthouse if I don't have to.

Doesn't really work like that. They typically make you go through the motions.[QUOTE="MotherSuperior"][QUOTE="Mumbles527"][QUOTE="MotherSuperior"][QUOTE="Mumbles527"][QUOTE="MotherSuperior"]It will be. 22 over the limit ain't bad at all.[QUOTE="Mumbles527"][QUOTE="MotherSuperior"]I have $260 in the bank so hopefully it's less than that.Mumbles527
