marriage is a relationship with formal and publically recognized commitments. also legal and financial obligations tied in as well, which needs to be stressed as well.

I personally value the idea of marriage and wanting to work and - at times - sacrefice to keep one.

How can you get married without being in a relationship first? Or are you into the whole arranged marriage thing?

How important it is depends entirely on what type of person you are, some people are perfectly happy on their own and have no intention of being in a relationship.

It matters quite a bit to me. It was nice to be single after a 3 year relationship but got old after about 6 months. Dating around and having fun is good for a bit after something serious but I've always been better at relationships.

Not everyone here is heterosexual. Having a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife and such isn't the by all, end all. Not everyone is cut out for having a relationship and many relationships, usually heterosexual ones more often than not, tend to go badly.

Marriage isn't for everyone. For me, I couldn't imagine a life where I wasn't married to my wife. She's helped me in so many ways that I'm a better person for it. So, for those that can make the commitment and are able to realize that it's not always going to be sunshine and roses, it's a very important part of life.

It varies from person to person, I guess. Some would absolutely die without a fulfilling relationship while others prefer the freedom being single offers. I guess I'm slightly falling into the former spectrum, I'm currently enjoying my time being single but hell, I wouldn't mind forming a deep relationship with someone some day.

It doesn't matter as long as you are happy and content with who you are and what you are doing with your life.

How much does it matter? That is completely subject to what you want in life. I cannot wait to find the one and start a family. Family is everything to me though, so that makes sense. SOme people put work or other things first, but I work to live, not the other way around.

It matters as much as an individual puts value on it. For example for my male cousin who is in to dudes, having a wife or girlfriend really isn't important.

When actually in a relationship it matters. However, actually getting into an intimate relationship is not my utmost priority. If it happens, it happens, and if it does, I'll put forth every energy toward it but until then my energy is spent elsewhere.

I think its important because life can be very lonely and painful to go through alone. It just seems healthy and natural to have a partner on that journey. That said i also feel most people get married for the wrong reasons which is why divorce rates are so high. Many are just going through the motions really like its something they are expected and have to do. Then there's the ones that do it for financial reasons. Either that or some get caught up in the rush and excitement of a new relationship and open their eyes once relationship fatigue sets in. Hell for some it never even had anything to do with any type of love just sexual attraction.

1) Stop jacking off to internet porn so much that you can't get your penis fully erect.

2) Get over your fear of women by talking to them in an anonymous format (IM, etc).

3) Lower your standards.

4) Plenty of sites with desperate, ugly women just waiting to for someone to come along and bang them. Join one.

5) Get out of your parents' basement.

Start getting laid and you will realize why your life is so empty.

Okay addressing his comment first... That is a sexist a-hole statement. Especially when women are those in society that bear children (not all women)... Men are much more likely to be criminals. I know neither gender is necessarily perfect... Get rid of your superiority complex. Neither gender should be generalized and dragged through the mud like some of you all do to women. Second post... Just because someone is a racist/sexist does not make them some bitter downtrodden member of society... In fact isn't it usually the inverse with all the "awesome" people usually being bigots.

You last post about you mother said you were 30 years old. Are you a 30 year old virgin?

can i delete that darn topic? yes i am 32 years old, i love someone which is one sided love since like 7 years, i just founded today a few hours ago that she might have become rich, i am giving up now cause marrying a rich modern girl ain't my idea, plus the money gap will hurt one's marriage. i guess i will find a rural village girl instead.

Don't think about marriage until you've come to understand yourself, what you expect from a simple relationship, and have experience with both dating and long-term commitment. Living with a person for a least a year should be a mandatory requirement of marriage. People change when they go "home" and they, almost always, will lie about what they do/don't do. Even you. We all have quirks that could, if compounded or serious enough, could early destroy an otherwise healthy relationship.

well said pal, the girl i love has also gotten fat alongwith being rich (still not sure if thats the case as i need to stalk around her home but i won't do it i ain't no stalker), my principle idea is about having complete devotion to marriage life, being pure moral guy. i won't accept used modern girl for marriage.

In life we could never have the perfect girlfriend or wife, but if you care about them they'll still be your friend. As long as you keep them happy its more then enongh to keep a smile to them and to you
