Personally I can go for 5 hours. Yes I know it sounds weird compared to everyone else who sleeps in when ever they can - but I think sleeping is a waste of time. I get up at 6 in the morning and start playing Fallout 3 until it's time to go to school and work. I go to bed at around 12 or 1 if I can. Believe it or not, I'm fine!

I can stumble around with 4, function with 6, feel comfortable with 8, and be happy with 10. Hours, of course.

I usually get about 3 or so. Some nights i get none at all. I rarely ever get more than 5 hours at a time. Even on my days off when i have nothing to do i will wake up on my own after only 5 or 6 hours so its really hard for me to get much more than that.

I usually get 3 or 4. I would like to get 6. When I get more than 7 or 8 I wake up with a headache.

I'm always exhausted for the first few hours regardless of how much or how little I sleep.

Need at least 4-5 to function. Anything less and I'm in a world of hurt. On a related note, the most I went without sleep is 34 hours in one shot. That was rough.

I dunno. Probably has something to do with my irregular eating habits.

I usually only get about 3 or 4 hours a night. More than that would be great. Sometimes I just don't sleep.

Usually get between 6 and 8 but I feel best at around 9 or 10 hours of sleep. Any less than 6 hours I start to feel really tired later in the day.

That was all? I'm strange... if I don't sleep for a night, I'll be really tired and hard to focus for the morning and a good chunk of the day, then all my energy comes back, and I'm not tired anymore. I do get auditory hallucinations as a result of sleep deprivation though, no avoiding those no matter how awake I feel. If I get even 2.5 hours a night, I can function just fine. The trick is getting up though... I have trouble dragging myself out of bed, and will happily stay there for upwards of ten hours.

I think it's because since I've gotten older, my body can't keep up the way it used to. As far as the sleep dreprivation from being up 34 hrs., I wound up seeing things for a bit. I'm the type of person who just can't sleep while traveling until I'm in a hotel room or at my destination.

Couldn't agree more.. i try to sleep as little as possible, even if sometimes i don't get much done in the time, i'd rather just being doing something and can run off about 5 hours sleep

At least 5-6, otherwise massive amounts of coffee go in. I usually have a nap during the day as well if I only get 5. I would like 7, but no more than 8.

I have a sleep disorder where my natural day is about 27 hours. I will naturally sleep for eight to nine hours, then stay awake for 18 to 19 hours. This runs completely independent of the day/night cycle.

So in answer to your question: About eight hours.

It usually varies, but lately I have been getting from about 8 to 10 hours of sleep. I've been going to sleep around 5am, and I wake up around 2pm.

1-4 hours. I slept for an hour today. *looks at clock* Uh, yesterday. Then went for a jog. Then went to the gym for an hour. Then did a bunch of running around. Still wide awake. That is quite a common occurrence. I usually don't go to bed until 2:30am or 3:30am and then I get up at 5:30am.

My body uses sleep hours on a "credit" system. Basically I can go up to 3-4 days with very little sleep, and then have 1-2 days where I sleep a great deal.Like I'm trying to get a lot of sleep these next few days because I'm going on holidays on Tuesday and I want to be as energised a possible.

When Halo Reach came out, for example, I had a 6am start to go to university, came home, went straight to my friend's place, played Reach all night, got an hours sleep between 5am and 6am, went to uni for 6 hours and then straight to work for 9 hours, came home and stayed up until midnight that night, and made up for the sleep the following two days.

Also, I'm one of those people that needs at least 1 hour of sleep to function well. I can't pull an all nighter and function well the next day, I need at least an hour of sleep.

I'm a sleepaholic. I'm not a full time student nor do I work full time. I would sleep 12 hours if I wanted to but I get up to not look like a bum in front of my parents. I need at least 5-6, but what that really means is 3-4. It already takes me around an hour to fall asleep anyway. If I know I'm going to get very little sleep, it keeps me awake, and I end up not sleeping, because if I get 1-2 hours of sleep I feel even worse.

Anything less that 4 hours and I will be in a world of **** the next day. I'll have a hard time to concentrate, and be grumpy at least until after noon. I usually need around 6 hours a night to function properly the next day.

I'd be lucky to even acquire 5 hours of sleep. College is very time consuming.

But on the weekends, usually around 8 hours.

I got around barely with 3, im alright with anything from 4 - 7, 8+ is ideal.
