Very safe if you use Paypal. If you don't receive your item just file a claim with PayPal and you'll be refunded.

Eh, theoretically someone could mail a live bobcat instead of the purchased product one in thirty times and still be considered a power-seller.

Unless you fall for a phishing email and give it you email address and password, PayPal is the most secure method of payment on the internet. And buying from eBay is incredibly safe. Just look for sellers with lots of positive feedback and make sure to read all the eBay rules and regulations.

I started Selling on eBay in 1998. I quit in 2005. 1800 Positives - No Negatives - No Neutrals. eBay is full of fraud, scams, fakes, counterfeit goods. eBay could not care less, as long as they are making Listing and Final Value Fees. Paypal is so scummy. They will do anything they can to not pay out a claim. Make double sure that, one : you buy the item On eBay, and two : make sure that Paypal doesn't trick you into not using a Credit Card. Paypal does NOT protect you, your Credit Card Co., does. Go read the Trust and Safety, and Paypal Boards at ebay.

I would LOVE to have a live bobcat shipped to me by mistake. >.>
