My friends use it heaps and I've also used it several times. Never had a problem. Just don't leave thousands in it, keep the money in your bank account and when you need it pull it out.

I love paypal and just have it tied up to my credit card and bank account (I never keep money in it). Keeps everything fast and secure.

I always use paypal when I buy off of Ebay and never had a problem with them.

But I never keep money in a Paypal account, I just debit off of my credit card.

that's happens because of security, if they think someone may have cracked your attack they freeze it, you don't loose any money by thm doing it so it's not really an issue, they transfer their funds to who you're buying from before you transfer to them

don't leave any in it, if you use direct debit then it goes straight to your account, money is never held in your account

buy from trusted sites, use paypal with a secure password and make sure the account details are secured well too. Dont keep too much money in the account either, transfer is the best way

I just got my credit card and I wanted to use paypal but I don't understand how to use the website. Plus it says that it wants my bank account and I'm not comfortable putting my account online with the site. :(

you dont need to put your bank account on there, you can just add a credit card to your account once you register, you need to put in your credit card number and all that

well every computer has a back door, you just gotta know where to look. If someone is really determined and know what they are doing, its possible.

I've been using it for years without any problems. Just use a decent password (eg. try to use both numbers and letters, and do NOT use your birthday) and you should be fine.

My friend got brutally owned by paypal by trying to transfer money from his bank account to his paypal account. Paypal took $80 from his putting it from bank to paypal, so he found out, and put it back in the bank. Another $80 charged to his account. So he lost $16o in total. He called paypal, and they said there was no sufficient proof to support his claim :|

Hackers don't target specific people. The only way you can be hacked is if you download a keylogger foolishly - in which case, all forms of online transactions are unsafe. Stop fear mongering.

This. I'm really lazy when it's come to go to the bank and transfer money, with paypal I can transfer from 1 bank account to another and make it very convenient. Don't keep money in your acc. since you can be ban or put on hold if people report you after a deal.

Paypal will refund the money it doesn't matter where you do your deal as long as you got sufficient proof that you shipped the item to a confirmed address(this is very important do not ship to unconfirmed address).

PayPal is great. A+++. Highly Recommended.

seriously, I've been using it in conjunction with eBay for about 4 years now and have never had a problem. I don't store money in it, though, as others have said. I just transfer from one account to another. I've even bought things over-seas, with no trouble.

Keep copies of receipts whenever possible, and save all communications between you and the other party. That should keep you as safe as possible.
