~5'7" isn't that short if you ask me. That's like the average height here in the US. I'm pretty sure the average male height is around 5'9" or 5'10" Really? That's impressive if true. I would assume that the average female height is around 5'5" and the average male height 5'7". Oh well.
Sexual dimorphism in humans isn't prevalent. Men and women come in all shapes and sizes. I tend to see a lot of younger women these days as tall or taller than me, and I'm "average" height for an adult male.
