I need to find myself some new bands to listen to. What do you do to find new ones. I've tried myspace, but it just doesn't do it. Are there any sites you visit to find the good stuff?

do u like System of a DOwn or/and Red Hot chili Peppers?

Id happily recommend Maximum the Hormone, they are not widely known in the U.S. but they are a great Japanese band, and for RHCP fans the bassist is a flea clone....lol

Bon Jovi is a classic. Can't go wrong there. AC/DC is another good one. Rage Against the Machine for people who like angry, vicious, and aggressive music Audioslave for Nickelback and Nirvana fans. Foo Fighters are good. Best of you is one of the best songs i've heard in a long time. Ignite is a fantasic band if you like hardcore punk rock. 'Fear is our Tradition' and 'Save yourself' are their best songs

I found it really usefull to go to youtube and search best or top (insert music genre) albums of 2006.  I found a lot of good metal albums, ie Eluveitie - Spirit.

Go to www.Last.fm and type in any band.  It will then show you a list of other similar and popular bands (as in not garbage that just happens to be in the same genre) and allow you to sample the tracks of those bands.

Just listen to the radio whenever you get a chance...I always hear tons of new songs that I like, as well as oldies.  Then I go buy the CD or download it.

Just to name a few bands...

Breaking Benjamin
Rage Against the Machine
American Head Charge
Fuel
Chevelle
Wolfmother
Oversight (look for them on myspace, they're a small local band, not something you'd find in best buy)
