There is no quick way. If you workout regularily, you still have to lose body fat or you wont see your abs. The best exercises for abs, imo, are crunches. They are very effective and give results. But you need to do aerobic exercises to lose body fat so your abs are actually visible. Also don't overdue it. Work out your abs 3 times a week AT MOST and NOT consecutive days. Over working your muscles gives negative results.II_Seraphim_IIThats actually wrong, you can get a six pack in just 3 months. Easy as that. (assuming your not excessively over weight)
Ive been working out all my life and this video is excellent for beginners.

This guy knows his stuff, he gives really good tips and workouts and doesn't just focus on one core group. Its great for people starting off and is only 3 times a week.

I guess we have different notions of what "quick" is. 3 months in my books is not "quick" :PThis. The hard part about getting a six pack is the strict diet.its all about having a low body fat

What's interval?
I'm super skinny but lost my abs due to binge drinking... I need to get my abs back, thanks for the tips. I was thinking about buying a bike to go night-riding, but I'll try crunches at home.

Several quesions about interval training: 1. it helps you lose FAT (so yes you wil lose your fat weight) 2. You keep the muscle. -I weigh in at 210...muscle (not fat) -this is what I do to keep that and stay in shape, I do not want to lift to get big and lose it running. 3. What is it: -You do not run at a long contiinuous pace (like a marathon runner) = do not just run for 30 min. at 1 pace -You run in short bursts (like a sprinter) = run in intervals of very fast sprints, mixed with a slow cool down/even walk in between So you could run at your max for 2 minutes (1 minute for novice) then walk for 2 min.rawsavon
Sounds good to me since I'm good at sprinting. Since I'm novice (I'd be doing 1 minute) how many intervals should I do? This is for someone who hasn't ran for a long time.

Go to the link for professional advice. But My advice is to start with 5 intervals. Novice = 30 seconds to 1 minute of sprinting followed by 2/3 min cool down (keep walking, do not stop moving though) Then gradually increase your intervals to like 2 min with a 1 to 2 min cool down Work on incresaing duration, speed, and if you have a treadmill, increasing the inclineThank you for providing the link and explaining, I used to weight lift regulary a year ago, now I only do so 3 times a week or so and unfortunately I can't progress higher because I already reached the max weight settings I have in my gym. I love runing and more than that definatley sprinting, I'm going to give it a serious try and ignore the wierd looks and see how it goes, I really need to get some fat off !. Thanks again :) .Here is a link on interval train.

No problem.
If you live in aneighboorhoodthat is safe to run, just measure your intervals by city blocks

Sorry bud but IT DOES HAVE A LOT TO DO WITH DIET. Phelps takes in a ton of calories and burns a ton But you have to pay attention to WHAT HE EATS...not fatty food...not McDonalds He eats a ton of protein and carbs (carbs to burn) not a lot of fat. Lesson: IF (a big if) you are working out and trying to put on mass, you need to eat more than you burn BUT you want protein (lean turkey 97% fat free, tuna, chicken, etc.) NOT FAT BOTH diet and exercise are important. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar, a fool, or both Also, do not compare yourself to an ELITE SUPER ATHLETE...genetics plays a huge part as well. -can a super athlete eat more crap than a regular person and still maintain their "look"...probably
Well since you said you are skinny do what that other guy said and and do shorter runs, as long distance runs will leave you with little muscle. I think it burns off to many calories that your body needsto develope muscles not too sure on that though( happened to me). And good core exercises that i like to do are planks, leg raises, and your basic sit-ups/crunchs.
