How to stop birds from pooping on your car?

Well this one bird (not sure what kind of bird it is, i think it's red/orangeish though, maybe an Cardinal) likes to perch on the side of my car, poop on it (a lot) and even peck on my side view mirror so much there were many scratches on it. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get rid of said bird from marking its territory on my car?

what kind of traps? like a mouse trap? i did read online though that someone suggested putting some bird feed on your car, then mix in rat poison in there and let nature take its course

Don't whine! :( No birds, in fact, no entity in this world hates me as much as gulls do. When summer comes, they go batsh*t crazy on me. Last summer, a gull actually hovered above me and tried to crap on me. yes, he actually hovered above me, not accidently dropping one as he flied by, but going in close and steady so he could get the best accuracy. Aiming at me like a goddamn bomber jet!!:x
