How To Stop My Nephew From Playing Video Games?

When he comes over, he always wants to play video games. When he plays, he always needs some sort of help. I don't mind helping him, but sometimes I don't feel like playing video games. I tell him "no" and he starts going ballistic and starts crying. What should I do?

Take him outside?

Duct tape his thumbs to his palms. Tell him it's for educational purposes - so he'd learn what it's like to be a dinosaur.

Also no matter how old he is, and no matter how he reacts he needs to learn that you have other jobs to do. Be assertive.

Just tell him to figure the games out himself. They aren't really hard things to figure out. Kids are pretty resiliant.

I would let him cry. As long as he doesn't break anything, he'll get over it eventuallymrmusicman247

This. You could do the parents some help by teaching him to be independent (with you not helping him) and that life doesn't always give you what you want.

Or you could hit him.

Just tell him he can't play your games. If he crys just slap him.

Tell him he can't come over unless he keeps your rules and doesn't throw fits.
