2017 two major setbacks, BUT few moments were Epic Awesome on 2017 compared to previous years. Resolution 2018 be more Epic Awesome minus any setbacks.
wbu? :)
What setbacks did you have?
I will try to tackle my diet soda addiction in 2018.
One is Job related. Didn't get payed for two months by the new company i joined, was a scam.Thankfully i quit and again re joined old place of work. No more changing jobs for High Pay :P
Another is more personal lol.

Tours, Meeting new and good peoples amongst them :)
It was OK I guess. I got my masters degree and my dissertation was approved for publication. I also traveled abroad for the first time (Netherlands and Gamescom in Germany). As for 2018, I'll be spending most of it serving my military service. Hope to get a girlfriend and get over some anxiety issues.
New year res is to move out of my parents and get my own place. My parents also got a apartment they rent out so i will probably move into that if i dont find anything as the people in it now who are renting moving out in July.
2017 was just another crappy and miserable year within my worthless existence.
2018 is gonna be just as bad, if not worse
2017 was great in that I seemed to have gotten back into working out and being healthier... 2018 I want to be able to do deadlift correctly. And leave 2018 with a job. That part looks rather dark atm.
I started exercising and losing weight back in April. In July, when I got down to my goal weight, I started my focus on lifting weights. I've made a lot of progress but for whatever reason, I can't seem to deadlift properly. I keep rounding my back with anything over 250lbs.
So yeah, In 2018, I want to perfect my deadlifts and quit finding excuses to skip leg day.

The hell, John? You were here and said nothing? We could have met...

Probably because he knows you will bring the baby along and offload it on him lol.
@indzman: Where's "here" though? XD
@GTR12: And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!
My New Year's Resolution is to exercise more, specifically on my days off. I walk about 3-8 miles/day at my job, but outside of that I am really, really sedentary so all the good I do for my work week is undone I feel on my weekend. I used to be really big into weightlifting, actually training for strong man, but then for some reason I just stopped.
Also, stop binge eating. I imagine I'd weigh a lot less if I didn't eat two 2000 calorie meals a day (as opposed to like five 300-500 calories meals a day).

deadlifts are great, and it's really good you are focused on form instead of amount of weight lifted. I mean if you had to do only one weightlifting exercise, it should probably be deadlifts.

I can't get it into my skull how to do it correctly. Close to pay for a personal trainer just to teach me.

Leg day is the best day. Hopefully I'll pass 100kg without hurting a muscle in my back.

I was taught a trick by a trainer: it helps to stare at a point higher than yourself, specifically where the wall meets the ceiling (though I'm usually about 10 ft from a wall, so I am forced to look up). Don't bend your neck too much to look, try to just use your back to look up. It will help with your posture. Also, stick your ass out. Like, really just get it out there like you're about to start shaking it like some woman from a rap video.
Those are two things that really helped me. I won't say it's impossible to injure yourself doing this, but if you do both of these things you'll have pretty good posture when lifting. And good posture is safe posture.

Neutral spine is better in the long run. So I don't want to be looking up at something. However it is a good advice for beginners. Funnily enough deadlift has never given me any back pain. Squats on the other hand... Proved that I have some imbalance in my back.
2017 was terrible and I spent half of it with a spinal fracture.
In 2018 I want need to finally sort out my education/career. Maybe not figure it all out but at least get in moving in a positive direction.
Secondly I want to get properly jacked. I've made some decent progress in the past, but stuff like my terrible job and the fracture have screwed it all up.
2017 was mixed. health was generally good. lost a good deal of weight. but im also sporting a foot injury that just doesnt seem to want to get better. finances were a disaster though. i didnt over spend but i also saved nothing. every month something seemed to come up which just shot my savings capacity. 2018 i will have to clamp down on social outings. that cant happen again. other expenses were hopefully just a once off that shouldnt come up again this year (especially if i can get my foot working properly again).
2018 the main thing is to lose the rest of the weight. should be doable: just 20-ish KG to go.
I’ve had a great 2017, personally and professionally. A lot challenging and of course, the most important year so far! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to achieve wild goals next year. but Baby steps are better than no steps. Make your goals achievable. One more thing I have purchased a bracelet to keep in mind what's my resolution is which always motivates me.

Ah sorry Korvus, you weren't really active here around that time so it slipped my mind. :P
2017 was pretty decent. Got a new job and things moving forward with my girlfriend, we already live together but in a house share, but signed for our own place in December. Made some new friends which is always good.
Didn't lose as much weight as I wanted. I'm still at 15.5 stone (about 215lbs) and 6ft tall but I'm quite stocky and still do exercise, just love the snacks too much. My first day back at work today and not had any snacks so day 1 is going well! I guess my 'resolution' is to stick at the better eating really as other aspects are pretty good! I'm not gonna be one of those idiots who says they're gonna hit the gym because quite frankly, I just plain hate the place.
Well, my 2017 is mixed with happiness and sadness or more like, almost near to depression though many won't believe me for this. I just reached 11th grade recently and I passed the first semester and I'm now on the 2nd semester. Made new friends but lately, I'm only considering 2 people as my close friends. The rest, maybe still considered friends but not as close as them. I even achieved a few things in life last year aside from passing the first semester like successfully finished Junior high school.
This 2018, good thing I still live the life of a gamer and my personality changed a bit due to abusive people and yet I'm still a shut in person but I'm happy that way. I hope I still have the energy to play video games and also, a better life for my own and for my family. Well, I'll be 18 in 3 or 4 months. Sucks to grow old but it has its topside.
