I wasn't on the internet as much as I was now...I made an account when it first came out back in 05 or 06 i think.....It was awesome when I heard about it.
Think about it, no Fred or Boxxy. I wouldn't have minded. There was Stage6, which was a much better than youtube. No stupid comments, HD content (it took youtube many years after and stage6 did it when it came out), and overall better. Sadly it shut down. There's also nico nico douga.

Before youtube i got some my streaming entertainment from demospasser, it was a danish streaming site. So, nothing really changed, except youtube made the selection of videos exponentially larger.
I can remember YouTube being in its early, infantile stages when I was just becoming dependant on the internet. I had no idea it would become such a monster. :o
