In the next billion years or so, how do you think humans or any life form will evolve(if there is any life left on Earth).

Not sure but I overhead some chatter that humans are much more dextrous (proper word?) than they were a few centuries ago. I could believe that considering the state of technology.HupHupOranjeYeah. With all the artificial and sugar-filled crap we eat, who knows what kind of effects things like Doritos will have on us in the long run...
Not biologically, too slow. Technology is how we're going to evolve. IE putting computers in our bodies integrating them with our nervous system/brain, etc etc. SimpJee
So in other words your saying this is our destiny..
I heard some scientist say that humans will get phsically weaker and mens "parts" will generally get smaller....  :(Def_Jef88Ya thats true something with oxygen...

Humans dont evolve. And by a billion years from now, I dont even think this planet will be around. Of course, I wont be in any condition to care.Achilles438How do you know smarty pants?
Scientists predicted that the earth is gonna be about at 7 million AD before it the earth stops rotating and one side will be in total darkness and the other will be in sunlight.

i heard the sun was going to blow up or a meteor is going to hit us.... Â
lol i don't think the earth will stop rotating unless a force acts on its massive angular momentum which is constant.Scientists predicted that the earth is gonna be about at 7 million AD before it the earth stops rotating and one side will be in total darkness and the other will be in sunlight.

Well as a believer of the creation and not evolution, thats how i know that humans didnt evolve. But im not going to argue that now because everything has been said already on this site about that subject. And I know for a fact that in a billion years I wont care about anything here because i wont be here.

as long as I can keep my own independent thought and freedom then I wouldnt mind that at all..

contradictions are funIt is my personal theory from what i have seen, that humans have reached a point where we cant Evolve. No, it's not because of biology, it's because of society. Evolution happens, because lets say your some random fish. You get better lungs because of a mutation at birth. You spread this to your kids. Those without the advanced lungs die off.
In our society, the original human DNA never dies off. It remains the vast majority and the mutated DNA seems to generally fade off. We hear about mutations all the time, but then they fade away and become dormant genes and then it's just good ole us. We protect all and allow everyone to breed, and we ensure equality and in some countries force it. I think it is this that will prevent our evolution, unless there is somehow a mass mutation. That's my theory.

contradictions are funits just called faith. I wouldnt expect the majority of the people of this site to understand that.

I understand. Whatever floats your boat, man.Humans dont evolve. And by a billion years from now, I dont even think this planet will be around. Of course, I wont be in any condition to care.Achilles438http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/6397001.stm

we wont really evolve anymore because we dont need to....we have the ability to mold our environment to our needs so we dont have to evolve to the environment....the only different would be racial distinctiveness wouldnt be as evident cause chances are the various races would have mixe a great dealLA_lakers_4lifeI agree with you completely.
how is that owned even people now who only had milk when they were babies and now adults if you give them milk it is not becasue of a mutation but becasue thier body does not recognize protiene in the milk that is easily digested by people who had milk all thier lives.Chessy_NachosThe people in the article lack a gene necessary to digest lactose.

That was a good read.Â
we will have wings and super powers

oh and males will eventually lose their nipples because we have no use for them.Â

I understand that. Thats why you should have said that you beleive humans hadnt evolved.I don't like the way people seem to think "We wont evolve anymore because we don't need to" of course we don't need to evolve, but surely something like an extra eye, better eyes or better lungs would be great - I think we are more likely to evolve like better lungs, liver etc. but not really to the extent of an extra eye or an extra leg :P
Â
but isnt evolution driven by the need to adapt?ÂI don't like the way people seem to think "We wont evolve anymore because we don't need to" of course we don't need to evolve, but surely something like an extra eye, better eyes or better lungs would be great - I think we are more likely to evolve like better lungs, liver etc. but not really to the extent of an extra eye or an extra leg :P

Lance Armstrong's heart was genetically larger than normal. His routines made it even bigger. Some people have more efficient organs by heredity, but it won't pervade through the human race anytime soon.I don't like the way people seem to think "We wont evolve anymore because we don't need to" of course we don't need to evolve, but surely something like an extra eye, better eyes or better lungs would be great - I think we are more likely to evolve like better lungs, liver etc. but not really to the extent of an extra eye or an extra leg :P

Hopefully, we will lose that one vertebra....SinkOThe blind spot? 3rd from the top, I take it? If we can actually let ourselves evolve, I say the mutants of the Xmen sort. But*sighs* I have no doubt that cybornetic implants will be used as artificial improvers on the human body.
