It's really no different than asking a guy friend to hang out. A simple "Hey, do you want to go see a movie this weekend?" or "I was planning on _______ this weekend, and I was wondering if you wanted to join me?" will be fine.
If she's looking in a box: "If you're looking for dinner and a movie, you won't find it in that box.."
If no box, just "Do you want to go out for dinner and a movie?" This way, you said "Going out" so it's a date, not just as friends, y'know?

Uhh, if you want her to be your girlfriend rather than just go out... talk to her for a while, eventually tell her how you feel, see her reaction and go from there.

Anyway, just go up to a girl and ask her "do you want to go out to *insert place*" or "would you like to hang out with me sometime?". You can probably even give her a compliment and then ask her out. Anything would work except for "Do you want to be my gf?". When you ask that question to a girl you never hang out with, she might get creeped out.
You can't just ask her out like that. How much do you know about her? How well do you know her? Have you hooked up with her before. Chances are if your that forward, i.e. you ask her "Hey do you wanna be my girlfriend" or "Will you go out with me" you'll freak her out. Spend time with her. Hook up with her more and you might not even need to ask her. Goodluck.

Ahh my boy your entering that part of life now eh?Obviously a first timer heh,what you do is take here to the side and ask if she wants to hangout with you at the mall during the weekend.Girls love the mall man trust me.
