I would laugh at his wasted effort in trying to freeze and then shatter a possession that I don't have.
Erm, not smart on the proffessor side. Not only is a waste of school materials, that can look very bad on his record. The student can play games if he wants. He has paid for the class. Now I don't know if he was being disruptive or not. Anyways, that student should complain the department and the proffessor better get repremanded for that because solving childish behavior with a solution that involves childish behavior. The student could possibly sue for the proffessor destorying images and files that were only on that laptop. I hope this proffessor gets in trouble for these actions.
This? What more can I say, but yeah, confiscating the laptop is one thing, but destroying it was stupid.Erm, not smart on the proffessor side. I would be like. "AWESOME I'M IN UNIVERSITY!" It's something I never got to do but could do with doing, the laptop can screw itself I don't care, a miracle has just happened.
If that actually happened to me I would take it up with student services. My laptop is worth a whole lot more to me than the price of the hardware, and I would go no less than having the university replace it and allowing me to obtain my degree for free. No teacher has the right to destroy my property. My laptop has things on here that are irreplacable and that is why I would expect no less than my degree being paid (which is roughly $50,000)
Damn at first i thought it was just a science experiment. Why didn;t the student react and not let him take it? I hope this professor gets punished badly for what he did. I even hope the eprson presses charges for him breaking his property.
lol video is fake. Like seriously the teacher is honestly gonna have liquid nitrogen out of the blue just to freeze the laptop?NetYankEagleWell, it looked like a science involved class so it wouldn't be too hard to imagine they'd have liquid nitrogen for demonstrations. And believe it or not, there are actually people who will do stuff like that. They're called bastards. :P
Probably a broken laptop he is destroying just to show what he would do if somebody did start pissing about on one, I doubt he would be stupid enough to do this to a students property especially on camera.
I would make them give me $400 for it, and then make them spend 13 hours outside in the freezing cold. I figure since that's what I paid for it we would be equal.
If I was in that dudes position I would have gotten up and grabbed my laptop and left the class room.
If he smashed my laptop I'd be getting my money back though, teachers don't have the right to destroy their students possessions.
I agree, there are other ways to deal with disruptive students, breaking their things is only gonna cause the teacher troubleErm, not smart on the proffessor side. It was probably a personal laptop. Not a school laptop. College does not provide you with laptops. Anyway, depends on the rules in regard to bringing electronic devices into the cIass. If you accepted the rules and they spell out confiscation of said devices...then you buy a new laptop. They are asking for more school budgets for this. :( Liquid Nitogen cost money you know.

Hmmm...then you'd be expelled and arrested. You might want to rethink that plan....I would be like "what the heck" Why did you do that. Than I would punch his face

Hmmm...then you'd be expelled and arrested. You might want to rethink that plan.... I was kiddingNo laptops in class - a rule. You can't learn if your attention is on a keyboard.
A waste of a perfectly good piece of machinery, but a great demonstration.:P:lol:
Unless he tried to freeze my desktop. Then I would be annoyed :(I would laugh at his wasted effort in trying to freeze and then shatter a possession that I don't have.

The student can play games if he wants. He has paid for the classRavirrI disagree. Just because he paid for the class it does not give him the right to use a laptop if there is a rule against it. Or to use a laptop to play games or browse the net when the laptop is meant to take notes or whatnot while in class.

Also people who talk are annoying.
I have alot of important files on my laptop, considering I would never take it to school anyway, if my laptop was somehow frozen over and smashed to peices I think i'd sue personally. I have alot of files I use for school, work, youtube, project, animation and all that good stuff, if I lost all that their would be hell to pay

Im pretty sure liquid nitrogen wouldnt be in the small print of anything a student would have to sign.[QUOTE="magicalclick"]
