I really thought about this . If everyone is from countries like Norway or Iceland how is it living in a place that has a 6 month night ? Do they have many streetlights ? Do you get depressed ? I'm really curious about this.

Excellent question! I only know what I have read, too. It would be awesome to know and meet peole living like that! It would be awful to live there and have SAD! Where lack of light makes you sleepy and you don't function well at all.

I doubt they have a different way of life or atleast they adjust to it, it can't be that different, it's just daylight, people can live withouth it, it's like asking are you more happy in the winter or in the summer, people have different opinions.

Only the north and south poles have 6 month cycles. The arctic circle is simply the point where at least once a year, you'll see 24 hrs of daylight and 24 hrs of night.

Speaking as someone who was born and raised in Alaska, you get used to it.

Apparently places with less sunlight generally have higher suicide rates.

But then when it's daylight for 6 months I guess the suicide rate is lower so it cancels out ?
