HTV2 flight today

That thing is fast as hell..3.6 miles a second.

I did some searching and didnt find what powers it though.

Anyone else think this might be the "Aurura" theorists have been talking about since the 90s(the super sonic pie wedged plane that can travel to anyplace on earth in under 60 minutes)

That's still slower than a space rocket, isn't it? And what advantages does this offer for military purposes over, say, a ICBM?

I think its slower ...13,000 MPH.

The Pie wedge is supposed to be a manned aircraft though inside earths atmosphere.Makes me wonder if someone can survive those kind of G's

I'd be pretty interested in knowing how you would navigate such a craft with pinpoint accuracy. It would seem that even minor miscalculations could cause you to overshoot your destination by at least hundreds of miles. And I'm also interested in knowing how much and what kind of fuel it would use, especially if it currently needs to be launched with the assistance of a rocket.

I think the point of the HTV2 is just to show the world that we can go fast as hell :)...

I dunno if the flight is going over any land today but if it does I cant wait for all the UFO sightings.

Its propelled but it glides to manuver...and it has crashed during every glide phase so far so its 0 and 2.

It has a SCRamjet propulsion system. It can only fly on its own once it has achieved supersonic speed.
