Armando Vallardes, a Cuban-American human rights advocate and a former U.S. ambassador under Reagan and Bush Sr. says that electing Obama "goes against the values, principles, and ideals that have shaped this great nation". Vallardes complained about Obama's softness against terrorism, his support for abortion, and his promotion of adoption for gay couples in an article entitled "Obama Presidente" (the article is in Spanish).

Vallardes, a member of the board of directors for the Human Rights Foundation, has highlighted mr. Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers, and has even compared Obama to Hugo Chavez saying that Obama ""reminds me of what happened to Fidel Castro and later what happened with Chavez. When our friends warned Venezuelans that the price of this 'change,'" could cost their freedom, they accused us of empty threats. However, "we were right, but it is already too late."

Vallardes also accused Obama of thinking that the ends justify the means (which many socialists belief, i'm not saying that Obama is a socialist).

Also Sarah Palin is going after Obama's "extreme" views on abortion. Especially his vote against the Born Alive Infant Protections Act, which some people allege he did because he thought it could put a burden on the abortionist.

For someone who is such a self-proclaimed expert on human rights I find it funny that he lacks a shred of understanding about the foundation of our country's laws.

Armando sounds like a dickwad.

Thank goodness he's not running for president. On the other hand, we're stuck with Obama or McCain.

Yup. You know how religous groups are all about unbiased views, equal rights, and tolerance for others and their beliefs? Totally credible.

I wasn't aware that the interdiction of adoption by gay couples was a value, principle, or ideal that shaped the United States. :P

Their are far more Human Rights experts that think Obama is a much better choice than McCain. Obama puts his people first while McCain puts his Neo-Con Agenda first.

I am very curious. Which part of the human rights is this guy an expert on?

Sounds like a religious conservative to me, and last time I checked, that had very little to do with human rights.

Religious freedom?

What a terribly contradictory "human rights" position.

I dislike Obama, but this isn't the way to go about proving a point.

You are forgetting that gays aren't human beings, therefore not entitled to human rights. Duh!
