Seriously, when I read darwin's theory of evolution, i cant help but think it is wrong.yoporahh
i mean in 50 years time, humans will pretty much be able to shoot other organisms into outer space which will land on other planets and evolve. what do all of ye think?yoporahhContradict much?

Here kids, is your primary source of WIN for the day :D
Seriously, when I read darwin's theory of evolution, i cant help but think it is wrong. How can one little cell evolve into a billion cells, each one with its own dna, kreb cycle which creates its own energy etc etc. how could it evolve into the brain, nerve system etc and especially how did it acquire thought and awareness? it is possible that we all came from aliens. its not fiction, its fact! we came from a asteroid, so we came from outer space so we are aliens on this planet. but i also believe that it was possible that we came from other civilisations. i mean in 50 years time, humans will pretty much be able to shoot other organisms into outer space which will land on other planets and evolve. what do all of ye think?yoporahhIf we came from an asteroid, the only way we could possibly survive entry to the Earths atmosphere, an the impact would be if we were simple microscopic organisms. We'd still have to evolve to our current form.

Well, it's also kind of ignorant to accept Evolution as fact when it's nothing more than a theory. ;)

The effects of gravity isn't a theory at all, the properties of gravity are though.

No there's not, they're one of the same.
these are two definitions of the word - theory.
a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a ****of phenomena:Einstein's theory of relativity.
a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact.
what it really comes down to is which definition you think evolution falls under. Do you think the evidence that has been presented is coherent?

Read my post. ;) I stated that the theory of evolution is nothing more than a theory. It's quite clear that the only kind of theory it can be is a scientfic theory. Also, I find it lironic that you insult me over "uneducated comments" whilst not even reading your own sources. A scientific theory is a kind of theory, therefore it falls in the general category of theory. Thus they're one of the same as I stated.

And going by this point alone, you felt like making it clear that since it was a "theory", then it wasn't supported by facts, which is completely wrong. Scientific theories start out as a hypothesis and become theories when sufficient evidence is gained through experiments that support it. Evolution is supported by a crapload of evidence, almost too many to even mention.
And thank you for pointing out that a "scientific theory is a kind of theory", I would have never guessed.

Okay, now I see where you misunderstood me. By theory, I don't mean they're unsupported by facts. What seperates a theory from an assumption is that it has facts to back it up. The Theory of Evolution has facts that reinforce it but that doesn't make the theory true. The Big Bang has facts but it's clearly a disputable theory.

Quite so, but it has a lot more logical, factual evidence backing it up, unlike the TC's arguement that humanity originated from aliens (and said arguement was already shot down by the very first response).
Sure, humanity could look back 100 years from now and laugh at the fact that we believed in evolution while they glorify themselves with a new, more logical theory that explains how life adapts over time, but I doubt it'll happen. Even if it were to happen, though, it would only be a modified version of the theory of evolution since there's way too much evidence supporting the theory at this time to just randomly debunk all at once.

I'm not negating it's importance but a theory isn't fact and it's ignorant to assume that a theory must be right just because it's largely accepted by the scientific community. It's blind faith.
I personally, believe in Evolution; that we evolved from a lower life-form but I'm not ready to accept it as the only possible way we could've came into existance.
It's impossible for a theory to ever ascend to "fact." Shows how much you know. :roll:Fact? I'm not negating it's importance but a theory isn't fact and it's ignorant to assume that a theory must be right just because it's largely accepted by the scientific community. It's blind faith.
