hypothetical: Your friends leave their liquor at your house

Ok so this has happened to me recently. I had a party and there was alcohol, music, and merriment. After some time my friends decide they need Steak and Shake. I didn't go with them because I had work the next day. When I woke up I noticed they left two bottles of alcohol behind. One bottle of Jager which was almost full and another bottle of Green Apple Vodka which was about 3 quarters full.

Would you give the alcohol back to them? I haven't yet and I don't really plan to either. I have been drinking the Jager the last couple of days.

If they don't ask for it back withn a week or 2 its going to be all gone. If I leave alcohol at someones place I don't care if they drink it all.

Nope, you leave it lying around then its down to you to find it again. I take back so much drink from parties because people just abandon it.

*gives hugs to e hubbeh* Well, if they did not specifically say, "Please dont drink this, ill be back to pick it up, save it for me", then its yours. I recently left a bottle of tequila rose at my friends house in his freezer. Hes not there cept Sundays and Mondays, and basically I hang with him like every sunday that i have off. I told him not to get rid of that bottle or drink it or let anyone else at it cause its expensive and i want to save it for when we chill together since its my fav. drink right now. He said no problem ^_^ So yea. Thats about it.. xhellcatx

Depends on how they answer the question "Do you want your *insert alcoholic beverage* back?"

if they were asking for it, yes

If you're unsure, call the person who brought it and ask if they want it back? If you don't know who it belongs to, keep it for like a week and if nobody asks for it, it's all yours.

if i had their phone number i'd text them and say "hey bro you left your alcohol at my house"

I don't drink so I would probably give it back or just throw it out.

It's kinda up to you. A friend of ours left a 12 pack of Coor's Light at our place. Normally not a huge fan, but I was out of beer at the time.

Do you wanna give it back or mention it to them? Maybe it was fate.

Something cheap like Jager and (gross) green apple vodka probably won't be missed. I would keep it. If they come back and want it back its your call.

If it's beer? No. I'd drink it. If it's hard booze? No. I'd throw it in the trash.

I would invite them over and drink it with them and if you DO drink it then you must bring a bottle with you to their crib and share it with them. I'm sure there has to be something about this in the bro code.

of course its yours to keep. Thats party rules 101, if someone is concerned about keeping their liquor then they take it before they leave. If they leave it there then they obviously didn't care enough about it to retrieve it before they left.

Not to mention its pretty much expected that when you bring liquor to a party its a one shot deal, I'd be incredibly surprised if that bottle wasn't empty by the end of the night if not much much sooner.

I give them back. Me and my mates are always leaving stuff at everyone else's place and we always give them back, why should alcohol be any different? Some of my mates bring over $100 worth of alcohol and I couldn't steal like that from my mates.
