I am gonna graduate college soon a get a job earning around 20$/hour. That is about 3200$ per month. There are people selling used Diablo's for around 100k so if I buy it on a 5 year term, I will pay about 1800-2000 per month. I will have about 1200$ per month to live on, which is totally enough for me.

You also realize that you'll be paying up the ass for insurance right? Your $1200 a month to live on will probably be reduced to about $500 or less...

just get a mazda rx-7. seriously, there are still some pretty clean ones on the market and you can get it for $16000 so you don't have to make all these payments for a $100,000 car

insurance is overrated, unless you want it to be your daily driver, then you're not so smart, buy like a 2000 corolla also, and dont get insurance on the lambo

You'd be far better off spending that money on a mortgage. There is a reason why only people with certain careers and budgets buy hyper-exotics... they have enough money to do it. You not only have to pay for the car but gas, insurance, storage (you don't park a Diablo outside) and repairs (which will cost you out the ass). After all is said and done, you'll probably be spending every cent you make on the car as well as taking loans out to cover the rest of the costs.

I always wanted to do that. I mean the reactions you get just paying for something that is $200+ in cash at some stores is funny, imagine throwing a bag with $20k+ in at a dealer and just driving away.

Are you actually nearly done college because it doesn't sound like you put alot of thought into your plan. I'm not trying to sound insulting or anything but you haven't considered alot of costs such as: car insurance, gas. You said that you will be making roughly 3200 a month, assuming that you get a job for 20/hour. Are you not gonna have any other type of monthly costs such as rent, internet, electricity, heating, food, going out, random spending, clothes, possibly student loans? You said that you could get the car for around 100,000. Will "they" still be selling them at that price when you a have a job for 20/hour? This last point really depends on the seller of the car, but will the seller provide you with a monthly payment plan or will he make you pay it in full. If i had bought an expensive car and put it up on the market i wouldn't be letting some one buy it for a monthly payment because there is barely any legal protection for the seller of the car, where i live. Once again, didn't mean to be a prick and shoot your dream down but life is never that simple as i will do Y for $xxx for this amount of time B and will have enough to buy it and call it a day.

You're an IDIOT. I hope you do get one. You will be sorely raped by maintenance charges. $800 a piece for tires, $6000+ for a clutch, $2000+ to have breaks done. EVERYTHING on that car has to be done at a auth lambo dealer and will kill your budget in no time. If you plan on buying this car and you are graduating college apparently you didn't learn much. Take a finance class.

There is no way your are affording it on a $20 an hour. There is now way you will be able to live decent on 1800-2000 dollars a month. Also, Lamborghinis are un-insurable in the US (at least some moddles) so you will have to have about 1/2 million dollars to buy a bond that will be the insurance. This is a dumb idea.

EDIT: You can get insurance on it, but it will cost you $800+ a month leaving you with $400 which isn't enough to get you a cheap appartment with a few room mates.

If you crash that thing or even get a speeding ticket, your insurance may very well go over your monthly income with a car like that.

well there you go, the tc has no chance of getting a lambo coming right out of college. it's a bad decision anyways, hopefully he will learn that soon... if he has a college degree, you would think he should know this by now...

This begs the question: is our children learning? Even if you could find some way to budget for it, no one in today's economy is stupid enough to let someone making $20/hour finance a ~$100k car.

Here is your insurance, assuming you are going to be 22 when you want it, that you have had not accidents or tickets, are single and live in Beverly Hills, CA (the only zipcode I know):

As for gas. If you are travelling 50 miles a day, five days a week; that would be (@ $2.20/gallon) $62 a week, $250 a month.

As for parking. I don't know any way to find out detailed info about parking or storage garages but parking it on the street or in a lot would probably be anywhere from $400-600 a month.

So, outside the car payments themselves, you'll have to committ about $1450 a month to gas, insurance and parking... if you drive it very little.

So in result, if you are paying as little as $1500 a month for the car itself, $2950 of your $3200 in income with be devoted to the car itself. Do you have anywhere that will let you live and eat for free?

The answer is NO, that is the major reason for the current state of the economy. I wonder if the TC would have bought this car if he hadn't gotten on gamespot.

Well the happiest people (according to some random servays) are those that make 50k a year it goes down if you make less or more (for some reason), so I would add however much you would be paying a year to that, because you want to be happy right? (that is about 25 dollars an hour) You need to make at least another 3000 dollars a month on top of that. For a bare minimum to buy that car I would say double your pay, and then you could get it.

Probably around $125-150/hour. That's why only CEO's drive them.
