He could have totally went into the safe thing he told the girl and boy to go into and they could have went to the compound together, he died for no reason, because if they wouldn't stop, then how would him killing himself and a few of the infected have slowed them down? I think he died for no reason, and they could have made the movie much longer then 1:28 very dissapointed.

I liked it, probably going to see it again.

But yes, I dont think he should have killed himself. Also, the wall that was built around the safe city place, couldnt the things climb over it, and...I thought they could be hurt by fire.

I think that the fire hurt them, but they ran through it very fast, so it probably didn't effect them, the sunlight was not as easily escapable, which is why they only came out at night. Also They most likely have a big military presence at that compound, so they have plenty of things to fight off the infected, and most likely they have UV lights all around the compound as well. Also I kept thinking before they started talking about the compound that they (will smith and the girl) would have to repopulate the earth, bow chica wow wow!

I felt that the movie was a good length... the last third was kind of weird, but I liked the ending.

i, personally, didn't like the movie. It felt too much like an urban-cast away.

this movie=awesome. Great allusion, great atmosphere, great special effects, etc. There is a constant sense of loneliness and tension; these feelings are hard to retain b/c a movie-goer usually has alot of distractions while in the theaters. Thus, keeping the movie relatively (no excessively) short is the way to keep the attention and involvment of the watcher.

The monsters are only hurt by UV radiation, not light. Light emitted by fire doesn't contain UV rays, only sunlight and special lamps do. It would have made more sense had the movie bothered to explain that the monsters are actually vampires like the book did.

I felt that he died for no reason also. I would have liked it better if they kept the same ending as the book.
its sort of like a Brave-Heart ending
The movie was great -- but had a weak storyline. The storyline needed much more backstory. I wanted to see the outbreak as it happened, from one country to the next.

Guy, the things just would've followed them in there. I mean come on it's obvious that they would have done that, plus by killing them in there the others wouldn't know that they were escaping. Lol, how can you overlook that.

he blew himself up along with killing the leader and the infecdted who saw them go into the "safe", if he had gone in then likely they would have broke through the safe, you saw him bolt the door like 4 times and those doors were probably steal and that looked like bullet proof glass they busted through so they could have broke through the safe thing. By kiling the leader and the ones that saw them hide you can assume the rest of the dark seekers, that didnt see, think all the humans died from the explosion

not to mention had they all hid in the safe the uv rays wouldnt reach down in to the basement so the infected would have endless time down there in the dark to break into the little chamber

ryangb

good way to think about it
