No, you can't. Your voice is limited to whatever genetic structure allows it to be capable of. Please, don't spread this concept you can be whatever you want to be.. It's only a cultural lie created by industrialized societies to give people hope.what are you talkin about?? :?
I never called you a bass singer. I believe you can be whoever you want to be. Dont let no one hold you down

You wouldn't reply in my other topic. Just because I can't get to a certain pitch doesn't mean I'm a bass. Bass singers sing the lower notes more frequently than I do. I do have a deep voice but it's baritone. Richard Sterban from the Oak Ridge Boys is a bass singer and I don't sing with that low grumble.

Here's the basic difference, for reference: Bass is In Diesen Hailgen Hallen Baritone is Largo Al Factotum Tenor is Nessun Dorma That pretty much sums up the three.PannicAtack
I don't give a crap about all that opera and classical stuff. I'm taking about popular music. Rock, country, etc.

It still applies to "popular" music. :| And who called you a bass singer, and moreover, why do you care what they think? You are what you are. No need to make a topic about it.Maybe no one replied...and this is a crazy idea, just bear with me....maybe noboby replied because no one cares?

Why wouldn't we care that some people call this guy a bass singer? Preposterous!Well, baritones can usually sing alot higher than a D4.One of y'all said I was bass because I can't get past D4 or whatever.

Disney distributes it's records under the EMI, Universal and Hollywood Records labels. Current Disney bands include Breaking Benjamin, Plain White Ts and Queen. I'm pretty sure all of those class as rock/pop.[QUOTE="DragonRebel0908"]Well, baritones can usually sing alot higher than a D4.One of y'all said I was bass because I can't get past D4 or whatever.

I told you have a gap in my voice. I think I can push to E4 but then my voice gets shaky and reaches that gap.
Couldn't you just bump your old topic or post this in your blog? :|cyberdarkkid
I bumped my old topic but you still didn't post to it.

Baritones can usually sing higher. Also, how old are you again?Couldn't you just bump your old topic or post this in your blog? :|cyberdarkkidIt honestly took this long for someone to say blog it? This really isn't a discussion... it's another cry for attention and to say you're a good musician. This sort of thing belongs in a blog, or in a conversation amongst band members so, as a group, you could work things out where such a "topic" is relevant.
Im a baritone, my principle instrument is voice, I just auditioned into music school, so here:
(is middle C C4?) I believe so.
My comfortable chest voice range is from A2-F4. The F above middle C, and 2 A's below middle C.
An octave and a minor 6th range.
You may be a bass or a baritone bass. Also, if you havent been really training your voice properly, or havent been training long, you dont really know what your voice is. Also, make sure you are singing at reasonably loud volumes, cause you can really extend your comfort voice with support.
