I have not watched any in a long time work, school, videogames, comics, and haveing a life have gotten in the way. But with a huge vacation coming up and a lot of spare time, I can get back into it.
Can anyone reccomend me some shows.

Good show, but I watched it a couple of years ago. Check out the pillows they made every song for that show.
Lucky Star, Sket Dance, uh... um... I'll edit this post in a minute when I remember lol
Edit: Here we go
NiKva's Supreme Epic Ultima Amazing Anime Recommendation:
The last 2 are the best in my opinion :D
These are pretty obvious choices but if you havent seen Cowboy Bebop or Death Note do so immediatly

I watched both, but this brings back fond memories. Also if you like Bepop check out Baccano.

I think I stopped with lucky star, it was a good show but I do not have a strong memory of it.

Code Geass and FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood are high on my list. You should check out the anime thread we have in OT. You'll be exposed to lots of new stuff if you do.
You should try reading some manga if you like good stories.I have not watched any in a long time work, school, videogames, comics, and haveing a life have gotten in the way. But with a huge vacation coming up and a lot of spare time, I can get back into it.

New ones I'd say either Guilty Crown or Bakuman. Check out this list and see what kinda style you like.
Personally I've been watching a lot of Tiger & Bunny recently.
What makes anime different from any other childrens cartoon? Why don't you just watch childrens cartoons in general?
Compare almost any anime to phineas & ferb, tell me when you notice the differences. What makes anime different from any other childrens cartoon? Why don't you just watch childrens cartoons in general?

Anime usually has foul language and it's pretty graphic. Not something kids should be watching at a young age. What makes anime different from any other childrens cartoon? Why don't you just watch childrens cartoons in general?

[QUOTE="JasonDarksavior"]Highschool of the Dead is pretty good.soulless4nowThat could be debated. :P I hardly watch anime, only watched that and Deathnote. So I thought it was decent, although there so many annoying characters.

Deathnote was pretty good though.
