I was in school today and my class and I were learning about the Holocaust. The teacher had brought in photos of actual concentration camps and executions. After seeing the first few pictures, I didn't like it at all. It was so horrible seeing them, they were disgusting and very very disturbing. After the first three, I couldn't take it anymore. My eyes filled with tears and I started sobbing. There were so many other kids doing the same, even guys were. Why did all that have to happen to the Jews? What the hell did they do to deserve such bad treatment? Hitler is a bastard that deserves to burn in hell for an eternity and have many other horrible things happen to him. My teacher came up to me and said "For god's sake, stop crying!". That is what really made me upset, those images I have seen today made me think a lot. Their bodies were so bony and you could actually see their bones, I hated it. I am more than grateful for the food I have today, those Jews had to starve for so long. Many of them were killed, it just is so horrible it brings tears to my eyes. I'm sorry if I'm emotional but this is just a bad thing, I never expected it to be that bad. I don't know if I want to watch movies of the Holocaust now, I hear that Jews were being raped, gassed to death, burned, shot. There was this one picture where this innocent mother was holding her child and a Nazi was aiming a rifle at her head. I can't stress this enough, I hate how everyone thinks Germans are Nazis when they really aren't. The Nazis were a political group. Well, I won't say anything else but I am very upset and I don't feel like doing anything for a while...

I was shown holocaust photos in 7th and 8th grade and I never felt any emotion to cry. It looked unpleasant, but not worth crying over.

This entire post is ironic considering that your sn is "Coldkill."
And jeeeeze, they are just pictures.   It's not like someone just ran up and stabbed your mom or stole your Gameboy.  I can only imagine how you'd react in the actual Holocaust museum.

The Jewish population has been persecuted for thousands of years. It's unfortunate, but it's history, and we have to move on.

Although I was a torn inside wen I actually sat on the wooden beds the Jews spent some of their last nights on, and stood in the shower rooms were they were gassed, I can't say reading about it brought me to tears.

Well we have to learn about the Holocaust so it can never be repeated. It is a sad moment in human history, but one can only wish that something like that will never happen again.

Your teacher should have warned his students what he was doing and given them promission to leave the classroom if anyone was uncomfortable seeing those photos. I am Jewish and thankfully do not personally know any Holocaust survivors, but I have met many and have been to the Holocaust museum in Israel and DC and it is a painful experience.

I'm sick of this crap, truthfully. The Jews weren't the only ones killed either. Ever hear of the Jasenovac concentration camp in Croatia? The Nazi Croats of the Independent State of Croatia were given orders to arrest 1/3, kill 1/3, and convert to Catholocism 1/3 of the Serb population. Thousands upon thousands of Serbs, Gypsies and political prisoners were killed there. Enough of Auschwitz already, we get the point about that already.

I too was slashed inside by the sight of the horrors that the jews had endured. It was absolutely terrible, and VERY terrible of your teacher to be that way towards you. I would bring that up to the councelor honestly. Its an emotional and hard thing for some students to actually grasp what happened. I almost threw up upon viewing some pictures actually. I am however not sorry that you feel this way. It is a good thing to be mad at what had happened to those poor innocent people, and its alright to cry about it even, despite what the other jerks in here say. Those were human beings. Try imagining yourself in their place. Hell, the Hills Have Eyes scene where they were  holding a gun to the baby completely ripped me apart. I fell apart. I have two daughters of my own and to think there are actually people out there who would do that sort of thing....I believe the correct term for the emotion is Compassion. She is Compassionate, and that is NOT a bad thing. Hell, i would take a COMPASSIONATE  Man over a 'tough as nails, 'oh im sorry am i supposed to care' " kinda guy ANY day.

I heard the main reason why Hitler wanted to kill all those Jews was because Germany had poverty problems back then and Hitler simply wanted to find somebody to blame and he blamed the Jews because they were considered the upper class people of the country...but I still don't know why to this very day why the whole Nazi group and Hitler wanted to do such a huge massacre on the Jews (the Holocaust), and yes, I have seen some of those pics where the Jews starved to death and their bones poking out 10 inches it's disgusting.

Sorry to hear about the misfortunes of you and your family, However, she is still allowed her compassion. I am sure if she saw pictures of what had happened to your grandfather, she would be emotional about that. A true compassionate person would. My grandfather had lost a leg in WW2 and well...we are just waiting for my husband to come back from Iraq unharmed. I have seen what war can do, and it does move me inside. History may not be changed, but may we never forget. Yes we should move on, but that does not mean forgetting.
