You're surprised? Here's how you can tell a show sucks: if they consistently use laugh tracks and do not once make a joke about it, the show sucks. Most Teenick (Teen Ick, not Teen Nick) and Disney Channel shows are examples. I'm willing to wager ALL of them.

I always thought the audiences in those shows were real. But I did find Drake and Josh to be genuinely funny more than not.Crash6

Oh yeah, I've watched a few episodes of that. It's not too bad seeing as how it relates to my age a good bit, but the old Nick shows were money in the bank.

*sigh* those were the good days. shows like doug and ren and stimpy were great. now the shows are horrible.

From experience, I've gathered one thing: All the shows that I have ever watched that are genuinely funny are rated PG and up. To put it simply, any comedy rated G would only appeal to a specific part of one's brain and hence would tend to attract an audience to sufficiently suit its rating. I mean I find shows like Fresh Prince, George Lopez {PG} and so on quite humorous as it suits my age group. When I was younger I always used to look at Disney channel. Now I can find not even a mildly comical piece of acting present in these shows. Just goes to show how times change.
