I come from the land of IGN, with questions.

I was with IGN for a good while.

Never really did anything bad, yet would get banned for stupid things. Such as...

Asking a question if posting a certain link was bannable (no link was supplied in the message). I recieved no respeonse, other than a screen that said "BANNED".

And just recently, I was banned because people hacked into some girls facebook and started posting all her pics on the site. I actually felt kind of bad, since if someone did it to my sister, I know she would be pissed. And for trying to help someone out...BANNED.

I come to ask, are the mods here just as bad?

Should I leave IGN?

The rules are pretty strict here, but I'd have to say this is the best and most unique community I've com across. Give the Terms of Use a quick glance. thing about here is that if you get banned once, you are done forever.Cube_of_MooN

Yep. Though unless you post porn, flame people on system wars a lot, or link people to viruses (basically really stupid stuff) its kind of hard to get banned. There are people with 100+ moderations out there.

The same forum where I asked a question. Someone blatently posted about borrowing his friends CD collection and putting it on his itunes (piracy). A mod actually edited his post and replaced burning with "listening".

The place is played out.

Over there, modded means become a mod. Which for some reason, 90% of the users want to be. Weak.

It is when a mod edits, deleted, locks your post or gives you a point loss or suspension. Most of the time they just delete you post and give you a warning not to do it again.

I gotta say though...

I'm going to miss having a dedicated football board.

"Modded" means you received a moderation. Its when a mod deletes your post, and gives you a punishment for breaking the rules, which are (as far as I know):

Delete Message- Post seleted, no action against the account.

Warning- A mild warning and a reminder not to do something again.

Point Loss- You lose some of the level progress in your profile.

Suspension- The name says it all.

Ban- Goodbye.

well, I just got modded AGAIN for censor bypassing. WTF?

Anyway, obviously the mods here have very delicate ears (or mental voices interpruting the words on the screen into and audiory illusion things, well that's what happens to me when I read people have individual voices and oh **** I'm off topic again, see no attempt at bypass..........

the mods can be touchy at times, sometimes not. i suggest not being stupid if you want to avoid stuff like thatinyourface_12

I think it has something to do with what I posted in an earlier thread about creative censor dodging. Note to self, don't do that to self again.
