[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="GrannyGoat"]yea probably but people use the internet for everything these days. like if I need an address I mapquest it, if I'm reading a textbook for class and am confused about a concept I wikipedia it to see it explained in a different way, my mom emails me more than we talk on the phone, etc.

Yeah.... that's why I said it's so sad.why is it sad? i may be addicted too much but the internet is a wealth of information and resources. going without it makes life more difficult. It's sad that people can barely live without it, that they need to do everything on it.
But I guess that's because I remember the years where Internet didn't exist. Where people would go out and meet, play games at a bar or something, call each other, read a book, watch a movie, listen to music with headphones plugged into the stereo.
I would love to turn off the Internet for a whole week on the planet just to see people freak out.
And going without it doesn't make it more difficult. Yes, the net facilitates lots of things, but humans lived a lot more less stressed without it.
