I don't get fat jokes

I don't get why people think fat people are funny, sure, they're bigger and more circular but what's so great about that? They break the chair they're seating on and suddenly everyone laughs their butts off, It can be funny in real life, but in a movie? The chair ouldn't sustain the weight causing it to break, ha ha ha, no. I fail to see what's so spectacular about that, I find it as funny as a racist joke.

How is a fat person breaking a chair funny? Um because someone actually let themselves get to such a weight as to turn sitting into a physics problem. Fat people falling and not being able to get up is funny too. Maybe not in reality so much as the idea.

Being overweight is one thing but if you're breaking chairs I mean come on...

Also I really hate when a fat person sits next to you on an airplane and their fat oozes over into your seat cause they're too big.
