I don't want my friend to go to jail, help.

Ok this is a serious topic. My friend is 16 years old and is in Highschool and he has this girl who likes him and she's 13 and still in middle shcool. What I want to know is should he stop dating her? I told him to stp dating here, he's also is going on 17 while the girl has just turned 13 not to long ago. I'm trying to tell him to stop it because he can potentially get caught and go to jail for it. The girl has consented with him yes, and she seems mature for her age but I'm scared for him. She also has this snarky attitude and I told him to leave her alone because I heard she was big trouble. He seems struck and won't listen to a word I say.

Please, what can I tell him for he can stop?

The age differance is under 5 years so atleast in the UK so if they had sex he wouldn't be a pedo and crimes would be treated like the age difference didn't existmarkop2003

when I was 16 I was with a girl who was 13, and we stayed together for a good 2 and a half years... but she turned 14 before I turned 17 so it was more of a 2 and a half year difference. He really can't get into any trouble unless the girl does something... in which case it would be in his best interest not to break up with her

That's it... you know what, I'm just gonna punch him in the face. We've been friends for a long time(since like 5) so I guess he'll take it without any stride. And this wont be the first time I had to him to get him from being stupid.

I think he should have to learn his lesson the hard way. If he doesn't want to listen to you, then there is nothing you can do.

Besides, dating a 13 year old is sick. That's a child in my book.

Yea but he's 16 not 18 he's under the legal age aswell. I honestly see nothing wrong with this other then that guy has bad taste. Plus nothing is illegal unless they are both having sex.

Yea but he's 16 not 18 he's under the legal age aswell. I honestly see nothing wrong with this other then that guy has bad taste. Plus nothing is illegal unless they are both having sex.

When I was 13 I was about just as mature as I was at 16. The only real difference was I knew more because of being in school longer. I also knew what it was like working. Other then that my maturity level was the same. You can't just say shes 13 she has the mind of a child... Everyone is different and raised differently. My current gf has been taking care of her family since she was 13. I'd say that's when she became a women because she had to work, clean, cook and did what she could for her family to be able to live. How is that a little girl? I mean she was robbed of her youth and she should have been enjoying her youth, but without background information on this 13 year old girl one can't assume shes just a baby. That's my only point I'm trying to make.

This has trouble written all over it. He is literally screwed because if he does now want to break it off because he will get in trouble, the girl would probably report him because she is angry with him. If he stays with her then her parents will find out and report him. Does this kid have any parents????
