Ok, so today May 17, is my birthday and so i decided to get picked up from school to go take the drivers test. So everything is all good and i'm doing exceptionally well on the test but then i stop at this stop sign. It is a 4 way intersection in a neighborhood. The road that splits mine i thought had a stop sign too. So I started going forward and the instructor tells me to stop. So, by this he told me what to do which is an automatic fail... Ya it sucks, but do you guys have any good driving experiences you'd like to share??

Sounds like it was your fault. Drive around more with your parents before trying again.

After a sort of movie night with some friends this winter I decided to drive home. It was a perfectly responsible decision, as I had only two beers and didn't want my truck to get snowed in. The irresponsible decision, however, was to turn the 4x4 off when I got to my apartment complex and test out my drifting abilities. I drove around for 20ish minutes listening to music and drifting lightly. I got a little cocky and ran my truck in to a pole that, thank God, was prootected by all of the snow that was plowed! The front passenger tracker light was busted! Got it fixed before my next trip home, so my parents didn't see! That's about the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me while driving.

It's okay, you can just take your driver's test again tomorrow.

I failed my first driver's test as well, mostly because the instructor was a complete douchebag. During the downhill parking portion of the test, I parked exacty as I was taught in driver's ed class. The instructor then told me to go back to the DMV because I had failed. When I asked him what I had done wrong with the downhill park, he just acted like a jerk and refused to tell me specifically what I did wrong. I went back and took the test the next day, doing the exact same downhill park as I did previously, and I passed. Sometimes it all depends on who you get as an instructor.

That's actually a pretty common mistake. I actually had a friend who failed before he even left the DMV. He started to pull out of the lot, when the instructor told him to go back because he failed. When he asked why, the instructor told him that he forgot to make sure both their seatbelts were on. lmao.

But alot of ppl fall to pieces when it comes to the whole intersection thing. No worries, just learn from it and do it right next time :)

Practice more i failed parking between two cones, but i was on a horrible angle and the instructor didn't give me more room to back up so i had basically already failed from pulling to far up and not on the right angle, and not allowed to back up either. Basically hit that sucker on purpose over frustration.

Don't worry, broseph. It's not that easy in the begining. You just need some more practice. Heck, I ran a red light the other day.

Sorry to hear that Tripp17. Better luck on your next drive test! Drive more often with your folks with you so you can learn more & have more hours behind the wheel.

I had a friend who failed twice in a row. It happens. Your mistake was an easy one to make, but it sounds like you need to practice with your parents a bit before the next exam.
