I found a snake in my house, any help identifying/what to do with it?

Well I was going to the kitchen and I noticed something very small (I thought it was an earthworm) thing in the ground, but I looked closer and it was a baby snake, pulling out its tongue and doing all those snaky things like lifting its head and so on...

well I dont know what to do, first I want to know what kind of snake it is...the body is red (sort of 'translucid", its like a milky red) it has a few black rings, only black, and the head is completly black.

and what could I do with it? I dont want to kill it but I doubt I could keep it, and just letting it outside doesnt seem the right thing to do (if its poisonous and grows and then bites someone, i'd pretty much be responsible for it)

so any idea? anyone in OT who knows about snakes?

Maybe a coral snake? If you don't want to kill it, take it far away from your house and let it go.

Its a snake, they can kill people. I dont care if its 5cm or 5 feet :)

Maybe a coral snake? If you don't want to kill it, take it far away from your house and let it go.

I know this. Its just an irrational fear, i have plenty of them. I cant help it, i think its slightly evolutional, a fear of snakes.

I cant look at a snake with sh*tting my pants. Its just something i'll never get over i think, along with heights and looking up at tall buildings and looking up at the sky whilst lying down.

Ah we all have our irrational fears. The only thing i'm restricted to is touching a snake ha. Although i cant go up to my attic, i have trouble on a stepladder sometimes. Although my irrational fears are the least of my mental and emotional problems :)

Don't ask questions, just kill it. Do the world a favor.

Thats why i rarely leave my room. Ha. Did you know every few days when i try to sleep, i'd have a massive paranoia phase where i fear i'm going to die by getting killed by a snake in my bed. This coincides with other thoughts, existential mainly.

When i think about it, i realise i may need a doctor bahaha.

if it is a ground snake, keep it. it is not poisonus and helpful to human and it eats spider, centipedes , scorpion and many pest.

Stick it in your pants and tell everyone you have a trouser snake.

Then whip it out and see if it'll spray people with its venom.
